Hi, everyone. This is Yukiko Amagi, and I think this is starting to be a ritual with me, addressing the network towards the beginning of the month...

[She laughs at herself for a moment, but quickly regains her composure. She has something serious to say, after all, and she can't say it if she's laughing at herself.]

Anyway, that's beside the point. I know that since Jason's death, the revival process hasn't been running nearly as smoothly. There's no need to hide it; I don't think there's a one of us left here that hasn't seen a friend come back hurt. I know this is going to sound harsh, but we all need to realize that it's probably not going to get a lot better in the short time we have left.

There's no need to suffer in silence, if you've come back and you're still injured. I have healing magic and I'm sure others here also have it. If you're hurt, don't keep on being hurt. Come find one of us, and we'll patch you up as best we can. All right?

[She pauses, blinking for a second.]

...it sounds so strange to say the words 'Jason's death'. It doesn't quite feel real to me yet. Is that just me, or does anyone else feel that way?

I don't think it's just that Ruana wanted him dead. She could have killed him at any point, given her powers and the fact that she's done it before.

It's that a whole lot of people here in the Tower wanted him dead, too, and then she had to go and make a game out of it. I can't exactly blame them - no. I can't blame us for wanting him gone, given everything he put us through.

I guess it also feels like we're going to wind up getting punished for that little game, one way or another. In a way, we already have, what with the revival process being a lot more painful, but it feels like we've either dodged a bullet or are going to need to dodge one soon.

Precisely. If she could have killed him at any point, why wait until now to do it? Why have the rest of us do it for her? Though perhaps it's asking too much for the insane to make any kind of logical sense, she's clever enough to have maintained control until now. The way she went about it probably has some kind of benefit to her beyond her personal amusement--though I'm afraid I have no guesses as to what that might be.

Regardless, there's nothing we can do about that now. As you say, we're already being punished for it, whether we were directly involved or not.

...now that I think about it, Ruana was a lot quieter than she usually is during her little games, too. I didn't realize it at the time, but she's usually right in the thick of things, egging us on a lot more aggressively than she did this time. I wonder what's actually going on with her. Under the glamour, she seemed pretty upset, though that wasn't exactly the best time to ask her anything.

[She nods, sighing a bit.]

Exactly. It's worth making a note of how she seemed different, but it's too late to do much about it.

Indeed. I intend on looking into the matter on my own time, though I can't promise I'll find much out.

And yes, I'm fine, thank you. At least, I can hardly complain, all considered.

I don't know that she would have answered even if she wasn't out of the glamour. Treating things like a game is her standard.

That's good. The whole situation was a mess, before and after the rescue attempts.

Oh, I doubt she would have answered. Even if she had, there's no guarantee that it wouldn't be deceptive or dishonest.

She has her own weird set of rules. It's almost like she really is playing some kind of children's game half the time.

Everyone's back, finally. I'm glad for that, even if the process wasn't as smooth as before. That's all I can really ask for, everyone back in one piece.
