Again, it depends on the philosophy. There were some that thought that, say, a stone was nearly pure earth, but something like a basket would be air because of the void in it, water since the plants used to make it grew by the water, as well as earth since it was a growing thing.

There's nothing like a pure 'fire' atom, though. Not according to modern science at least.

It's interesting that there are cultures that built a philosophy on it. But odd that a basket would be air. It's not made of air, it simply 'holds' it so to speak. A cup isn't made of water fonons ... ah, element, simply because it can contain them.

No, I imagine not. For most places it's probably just the result of very intense heat, and thus anything that burns would be the source, not just a given atom? Likewise probably light..
