Video | Having an alter ego is handy at times

[Hello, network. Have a strange man (?) on screen. Oddly enough, he doesn't seem like he's new to the tower, even though only a select few should be able to recognize him.]

I cannot stay here long, so I will be brief: an acquaintance of mine has been acting strangely lately, and I believe the cause to be the sweets that have appeared around the tower recently.

I want to be certain, however. Has anyone else been met with a similar situation during the past few days? If so... do you know of a way to reverse the effects?

[He is a patient one, but waiting around in a tower gone mad is not high on his to-do list.]

AND THEN HIJINKS ENSUED. And they probably found the smaller Link. Hopefully? ]

[He's really not that hard to find, despite his attempts to go Metal Gear Link on everyone - just look for a moving crate wandering around the hallways. It's probably him.]

[She's been beaten to hell and back, but... she still needs to save the boy.

So, sometime after her encounter with Samus and subsequent "saving" by WW, she stumbles around the halls, searching for both some milk chocolate and him.

She just needs to hold out a little bit longer...]

that may have been the sound of the bottom of a barrel hitting the floor of the tower. maybe.

or it was your imagination, and that is so not an out of place barrel behind you.]

[ Ah, found you. You are not the master of stealth, little Link. Lifting up that barrel now. ]

Link?

[cantstopme]

[He let's out a small "eep" sound, before grabbing back for the barrel again.]

No - give that back, I need that to hide!

I... I don't want to scare her, and I'm worried I'd scare her off if she knew I was there...

[sageprincess]

[Augh, what's that ruckus behind her--

... how did she miss that. Well, whatever, she's too tired to care. So she'll just stumble on over, using the wall to brace herself. Her horse words are directed at the seemingly older Link.]

... Did you find any more of the safe sweets?

[ocariness]

[ A nod. Link has procured (by painstakingly checking) every box found and made a whole box of them.

There is no time to spare and Link takes the barrel and moves it and grabs the smaller one, before handing Zelda the box. ]

These are all safe, Zelda.

[The boy lets out a little gasp at being grabbed, before trying to wrestle his way out of the other's grip - he doesn't know why he's being held like that, but all he can think is that he doesn't like it.
Not at all.]

No - let me go! I just want to be near Princess Zelda! I haven't done anything wrong, I promise!

[sageprincess]

[She takes the box, returning the nod. With some grimacing, she pushes herself off of the wall, drawing closer to the Links while taking out a piece of chocolate.

... It should only take one, right? Well, here's hoping.]

We do this for your own good, Link.

[And then she's popping that candy into his mouth. Please do not spit it out--]

[ Holding the boy down and making sure he eats it over here!

Let's hope it WORKS. ]

[Well, to be frank, he never thought he'd be force fed sweets before. Especially delicious ones that he was told not to eat.

But either way, he does swallow it, and eventually starts trying to fight out of the other's grip, before looking up at them with the most upset and confused face he's ever made up to this point.

What has he been doing? None of that was right - none of it was heroic!]

[Okay. Well. An upset face could mean a number of things, so.]

Are you feeling better now, Link?

[Y'know. Not stalker-y?]

[ocariness]

[ Waiting, and hoping. ]

... Hero of Winds? Are you well now?

[cantstopme]

[He's still quiet for a bit more, but he nods, gulping a bit. He doesn't know what to say.

After a moment, he does speak up - quiet, and almost tired sounding.]

... I-I... I'm sorry.

[sageprincess]

[And then Zelda just... slumps against the wall, not even bothering to hide her relief.]

Thank goodness...
