Does... anyone feel like they've forgotten something... important? And like they don't really... belong in their body?
... I was just wondering, since everyone seems to be having problems with the collars, if it was just me.
[ ooc; Nageki happened to be in radius of Naminé's powers without actually BUMPING INTO her, and has had his collar downgraded from Violet all the way to Yellow, so he's basically back to how he was during his game. He only remembers the Tower at this point and half of his name. And a few other things.
Also, Hatoful spoilers, hurr derp, if you mind that, anyway. ]

[ He's so confused... but anything he actually remembers that his poor, fractured mind can presently think of is something to cling to. Unbeknownst to him, certain memories have been... altered, slightly.
He stays sitting where he is, but looks like he's going over something, mind running at a furious pace. ]
There was an older boy. We're in the same room. I think that's happened before, too. Maybe... no, it was probably someone like you. Maybe it WAS you. You said 'Nageki', that feels familiar...
[ ... Is he talking to Pipit or himself at this point? It's hard to say. Probably both. And as his mind slowly, but surely runs the conclusions that it can make... he looks a little startled.
And blinks. He looks a little hopeful, almost, as he asks. ]

He lays his chin on his arms then, still smiling warmly.]

[Did Nageki really think of him that way? Is that why he was so worried?]

[ That's kind of... well, it makes him sad. Because right now he feels pretty sure Pipit COULD be his brother.
Pipit liked birds, right? His brother was something to do with birds, he KNEW it. His life had lots to do with birds, even. ]
Or is it... [ Pause. ] I'm wrong, aren't I. Sorry, I... don't remember much else. Except you, and a few other things.
[ That's it. He feels really, really confused, and a bit sad, so he frowns. Was he wrong? It was probably a stupid hope, anyway, but he remembers feeling elated he was alive, and when Pipit got hurt, he remembers worrying, too... maybe... that was why?

But he can't lie to the kid... It goes against the Pipit Way.
But at the same time, leaving a kid like this - sad, confused, distraught - isn't that against the Pipit Way, too?

Finally, something he can hold on to with two hands. Something he can feel sure about. Because everything else, right now, is just confusing. ]
... No, I honestly... don't. I knew it started with an N, but I couldn't remember.
[ But it's okay, right? If this IS his brother, then he's not afraid to talk to him, because he DOES remember talking to his brother a lot. Even though they were adopted. It fit, right? They didn't look the same, so they were sort of made up family. ]
I was worried that I might not be right about anything, it all seems really... foggy.

It's no problem; books are important to you! Like I said - it'd be better to have it here with you, than somewhere else in the tower with me; right?
[A pause -]

[ He repeats it back slowly, as if unsure.
Finally, he decides Pipit is right, and that has to be his name, so he files that away in his mind. That's one thing solved, at least!
Truthfully? He feels safer, at least, even if his body kind of feels super disconnected from everything, he can still be a little happy. He knows more than he did, after all.
Nageki can manage a smile, now, despite if it's sort of hard and he feels mechanical and... distant. ]

[ Don't say you're 'fine' anymore, okay? Oh... he remembers someone telling him that. His brother? Was it Pipit?
... He isn't sure, but he pauses, cutting himself off. ]
I mean, I won't push myself too hard. Though I think... I've been like this before. Numb, I mean. I can't really feel much... it's sort of like my body isn't mine at all.

[ He's quiet for a little while, considering it. ]
Though... I've been reading the backlog on the terminal, and it sounds like people are having problems with things after they had their collar's fluid changed. I think mine was violet before.
[ That... makes no sense, though? ]
But I didn't hear about anyone else forgetting anything. And I don't remember what I was doing when it happened...
