animus_network | Video - whoops this got kind of long

[Hello, network. Have a nine year old. c:]

... Um. Okay, so... I noticed that a lot of people were getting really confused!
About us, I mean. The Links around here! And that's not good, being confused about us - we didn't mean to confuse anyone!

[He gives the feed a little bow, before continuing.]

But it's okay! I'm going to explain it, now - I even have a picture! Pictures always help me understand, so I thought it would help everyone, too!

[That's when Link holds this up to the camera, smiling around it.]

See - we go really far back! The Link that came from the sky - we call him Sky so we don't get confused. But Sky was a really really old Link!
All the other Links are named after him, I think. And without even knowing it! All the Heroes throughout time are named Link, maybe!

There's probably a couple Links between Sky and the next two, but these two are who we call "Woods" and "Forest"! Forest is Woods when he's little, so I guess they're kind of the same person. They're Sky's great-great-great-great-a few more greats-grandkids! Or, um. Grandkid, I guess, since they're kind of the same person.
They're the Hero of Time, and really legendary where I come from, so be polite to them, okay? And Princess Zelda too, but everyone knows that you gotta be polite to princesses.

And uh... after they fought a big evil man called Ganondorf and sealed him away, something happened and the world got flooded, and then I was born!
Um... The King told me I'm not related to the other Links, though. I've just got the same name.
You can tell I'm not related 'cause I have green eyes, and they have blue!

[And getting all up in the feed so everyone can tell --]

See? Green.

But um - I'm the really latest Hero; the Hero of Winds! But it's not hard to understand now, right? It's a Hero thing; all Heroes are named Link! And we're not the same people, either! Except Woods and Forest, I guess. Since Forest is just Woods when he's little.

I can answer questions if people have any, too - I don't mind! I'm really nice, I promise!

Mmm, that little pirate girl probably would. It's way too big for her, though!

I bet it's really comfy, though! It looks like it, anyway - big and warm and comfy!

It is! Here. [Linebeck takes it off and offers it to Link. Even though it's about twice as big as he is] Try it. It's well worn and has lots of pockets on the inside.

[When you are a REAL ADVENTURER MAN... you need to be able to darn your own socks ok]

[Oooh! He gets to try it on!!!

It's really floppy on him, and definitely smells weird, but Link tries it on all the same - the look on his face is a big, bright beaming smile, too.]

It's really warm! And cozy! No wonder you like this coat a lot, Captain Linebeck!

[That's said as he nearly cuddles into it, the collar of it going almost past his ears.]

[oh my god kid you are just so cute. IF HE EVER HAS KIDS HE WANTS ONE JUST LIKE THIS... Have a hair ruffle]

Waterproof, too! Keeps the sea spray off ya. Nothin' worse than a chill at sea, especially when you can't get below deck.

[The hair ruffle gets a little laugh from Link, and he grabs onto Linebeck's hand through the sleeves. They're a lot longer than his arms are, hmm.]

Mhm. Especially if your boat doesn't have a below deck part; but I got used to it really quick.
But this is a really neat coat, if it's waterproof AND warm and cozy!

Well I'd let you wear it more often, but I think you'd trip on it. Maybe one day I'll get you one just like it. In green.

Nuh-uh - I'd want one in blue, too!

I... actually like blue best! But the Hero's Clothes are green, so I gotta wear it.

[And just subconsciously hugging onto Linebeck's arm, like the older Captain is his dad or something.]

It's also why I really like your coat! I've got a shirt this color, and it's my favorite!

Oh, you like blue, huh? Well, I just thought... cause of the clothes, and all. Ha! Either way, I'm not THAT good at makin' stuff. We'd have to find someone else to make one.

I bet Big Brother could! He made me my favorite tunic, all by himself!
It's almost as good as the one I'm wearing - but my Grandma made this one, so nothing is as good as it.

But I want one to match - it'd be really neat!

We'll have to ask him, for sure. I'm not sure how you sailed around without any sort of real protection before without catchin' yer death. That tunic is nice, but you said that ship of yours doesn't have a hold? Tetra's does, surely. Unless she's just keeping hot air in there!

Well; I guess the gods just didn't want me to die or something.

But Tetra's ship is really big! It's got a lot of rooms - her bedroom even has a real bed and dresser in it, like a house!

And he's still barnacle-ing off of Linebeck's arm.]

I guess they also wanted you to suffer, a little. [seriously. Saving the world in a skiff? Who's bright idea was THAT]

Heh! That's how those big pirate galleons usually are. My cabin has a bed and a dresser, as well, but that's the only one. [he doesn't seem to mind, and he uses his free, non-barnacled hand to stroke his beard] I wonder where she got a ship like that anyway.
