I am a new arrival, however I've read through several pages of the data here. I am attempting to skip many common questions, however I apologize if I require clarification.

My world could not have been destroyed without the proper causation. I will assume nobody has bought this poor-excuse of a cover story, so this leads us move on to more pressing concerns.

What is available here, what do we have access to, and what are we limited on?
What have people tried and failed to do?
Are there any legends or rumors anyone has heard about this place specifically?

I will also assume this is being monitored to some degree, so I would like to criticize our captor's sloppy worksmanship. Honestly, this is amateur kidnapping at best. You should be embarrassed.

If our worlds aren't destroyed, then they have the ability to send us to representations of what our destroyed worlds would be.

Let me assure you, my world could not have been destroyed.

I am familiar with various kinds of illusion magic, as well as mental manipulation. If this place is set up with that in mind, they could conjure up such representations without even having to know a thing about your home world.

Of course, I am assuming you already know that, Mr. Hidari.

I'm afraid I disagree. I have had several 'rumors' lead to valid information. History often begins as a myth, and the only bad information is withheld information.

Now, why would you be so offput by my question, hm?

My, you're all so jumpy. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, given the circumstances. Many of you are probably not used to such treatment.

You could say I am in the business of information. Knowing my location and it's variables are key to being able to do what I do best. I cannot hope to know about everyone here, so instead I am seeking to know about this 'tower' itself.

I'd still like to know why you're so on edge about legends and rumors...but I'm sure I'll figure that out soon enough.

anyway, that's not the point. there isn't much to tell about the place, at least nothing that can be confirmed. not from what i've seen, anyway.

Maybe I would not be so inclined to assumptions if your friend up there were not likewise reactive. Honestly, all for a simple question.

I will let the matter lie for now. Nobody is aware how long this structure has existed? Who its first 'rescues' were? I suppose I will have to read back further if I want to get any sort of intel.

I'm not much taken with legends, outside of what they can tell me about my location. Which brings us back to my main point.

i haven't been here that long myself and a bunch of things happened when i got here. that'd be useful for me to know too, if i'm being honest.

Can't die, can't leave, can't damage shit, can't eat the oatmeal without puking up your guts. You've got a steady supply of crappy food and bullshit justifications at your disposal, go crazy.

You could figure all that out after a day or two though. After that it's hard mode.

Now you see why I seek this information. It's not simply for my benefit; everyone here could pool together their resources and intel to make things much smoother.

I'd like to believe it's all in my head, but spending months in what looked like my world in ruins before being brought back here leaves me open to the possibility that the people in charge aren't as full of crap as I'd like them to be.

I'm not opposed to being wrong on that front, however.

As for your other questions -

There's a large number of floors here. Each house different rooms or environments. I'm still in the process of exploring them. Our needs are taken care of in regards to food, housing, entertainment, and medical care. However, there's a great deal of terrible things here that offset all that. Monsters. Our keepers' "experiments".

I've attempted and failed to escape. Before I could even finish the attempt, I found myself in the ruins of my world. (Or what looked like them.) Myself and others have attempted to infiltrate off-limits areas of the tower, and partially succeeded - only to be intercepted and killed for our trouble.

...that said, death is not permanent here.

What exactly has 'hard mode' entailed, in your experience? Anything specific, or would you rather keep such to yourself?
