[Even though the feed's started, Genda's quiet for a moment or so - it's unclear if he doesn't know the video's running, or if he's just nervous. But he does speak after a bit of silence, his face serious.]

Hello. I am... Er.
My name is Genda Koujirou - I am the goalkeeper of Neo Japan, if anyone is familiar with my team. I have a few questions, for those willing to listen and answer them. Please be respectful - I am new to all of this, so...

[How did Coach Hitomiko put it?]

[... Augh - he shakes his head at that, steeling himself again. Talking to presumably a lot of people - it's got him nervous. But his Coach wouldn't be nervous like this, and neither would the rest of his team!]

I want to know just a few things.
Was our world really "destroyed"? Is there real, tangible proof?
And where are we? Looking out the windows, there was only fog as far as I could see... it's odd.
Is there a way out of here?

[He pauses then, looking to the side, before looking back; he doesn't really want to believe there isn't, but...]

... If there is no way out, I have just a couple questions.
Is there a way to stay preoccupied? And what kind of animals live here?
Also, is there a soccer field? Or, at the very least, a field large enough for one?

Uh, I'm not really sure whether they're being truthful about the whole world being destroyed thing, but, I personally decided to believe them? Though, I don't have a real, tangible proof.

Well, ah... if you don't know if they're being truthful, why did you decide to believe them? If it's alright for me to ask.

Of course. I have a strict training schedule - I can't start slacking off, no matter where I am.

Well, I was kinda, sorta playing a game that destroyed my world. So- I'm not surprised?

[... Head tilt.]

Then it sounds like it might be a special case.

[He gives the feed a polite, little bow of the head, and a smile.]

Wow, I had no idea humans wrote stories about trolls. A fairytale, you say! That's pretty cool.

[ He's not sure what's the deal with the bowing, but he- imitates? Yeah. Maybe it's a human thing. He didn't want to come out as rude or anything. ]

That's perfectly alright with me.

Though, I can't say trolls are always written in a positive light - there are good ones from time to time, but they're mostly antagonists in fairytales.

[A pause -] But they don't hurt anyone, now that I think about it.

It's nice to meet a real one and get that all cleared up, though! I'm not sure any of my friends would believe me if I told them I've met a troll.

[ of course, practice-- that one thing Leon always skipped out on, oops. ]

I don't know, the whole 'your world is destroyed' argument seemed pretty convincing, everyone here seems to believe in it.. [ his own opinion on it is left out, though. ] Besides, if you're really important to the team, they wouldn't leave you out even if you were gone for a while.

I'm not my team's only goalkeeper - if I leave, only to return and be behind my team, I'd only be holding them back from our goal.
On the path to facing the world, a hindrance would be better gotten rid of than kept.

[He pauses there, shifting a bit.]

... I don't want to believe that our world is gone. It does seem very convincing, but if that's the case - why save me?
Why not someone with more importance, like a prime minister, or a president?

... Man, you seriously have a sense of obligation, huh? [ well, Leon does too deep down, but he'd never admit that. ever. ] I bet your team will be just fine if it's really somewhere out there still. Mine is probably completely a mess without me, but that's a different story altogether.

And don't even ask me. I've stopped trying to make sense out of this weird place by now.

Well, truth to be told, I'm not that surprised. We're not, exactly the 'friendliest' creatures, but-

If you want to put it that way, yes; I do have a sense of obligation. You can't really blame me, though - our Coach has put a lot of faith in me, and Saginuma even went so far as to teach me his hissatsu block.

... But you're right. They're probably fine, as it is. But that doesn't mean I should stop training.

As for this place... I guess I should just go with the flow until something makes sense, then.

You've never heard of soccer?

It's a game that we play, back home. It takes place on a large field of grass, and the point of the game is to kick the soccer ball into the opponent's goal. It's my job as the goalkeeper to make sure the opponent can't score any goals.

It's a lot of fun; perhaps we can get a team or so together and play, someday.

Anyway, this is the tower. I don't think anyguppy knows exactly where it is, though, and there isn't a way out.

There's a gallery up on the twenty-second floor that shows pictures of - I don't know whether it's one of those things that just shows you where you're from or shows pictures of everybubbly's worlds, but there's that.

...that, and one of the people that runs this place came on the network the otter day and bassically confirmed it.

You tell me about it. This place is weird as shit. [ so eloquent - he's saying it without little shame as to his blunt phrasing too. ]

And I guess if you need to train that badly I wouldn't mind joining in since you'd probably need someone else.. [ not like he actually likes sporting or anything!! ~~he does, he's just tsun for it.~~ ] Well, soccer's not really my kind of thing, but we can switch up sports once in a while, right?

... So, our worlds are really gone, then.

[He falls back against his seat, letting out a very heavy breath. His whole team, everything they worked for - no, the whole world, and all of its people... all of the life there, every animal, every person...]

[After seeing Genda's video, Kidou decided to go looking for him. It took him a good while, but he finally spots Genda at a terminal a ways down the hall. He jogs over, a smile on his face.]
