Hey everyone. My name's Marty, but you can call me Marty. [Nervous laugh. At least it isn't Clint Eastwood.]

So uh, I work with Doc Brown, down in the workshop. We're kind of putting together this shop where you can get things fixed or made. The Doc's real good with that kind of thing.

[He lifts up a sign he made reading "Doc Brown's Amazing Inventions," peeking around the corner.] Just look for this sign.

[Setting it down now, he clasps his fingers together to prevent awkward fidgeting.] Um, anyway I was wondering is anyone, y'know, growing anything on that farmland on Floor Thirty Six?

Yeah well... we're trying to make new hoverboards right now.

_{[..hold please. There's a brief absence of the usual background noise in every recording - then Sayaka flicks it back on.]}

I had to listen to that a couple times. Hoverboards~?!

They're like skateboards, but instead of wheels they use some sort of anti-gravity force.

Yeah, yeah, I know the idea-- but you mean, like, for legit?

[Marty bends down out of sight and picks up his hoverboard, showing it to the camera.]

Yeah, it's legit. I got it from the future.

_{[Pressing face to screen--! Nevermind that Marty can't see that since she hasn't switched on video too.]}

Okay, okay, I definitely want one of those.

Great, I'll tell the Doc. You know how to ride skateboards?

Um~. _{[That's as good as a no.]} I'll persevere and master it.

[deloreandriver]

I'll show you sometime.

I couldn't tell you. I haven't spent much time there.

Is your Doc familiar with bows?

[deloreandriver]

Yeah, definitely. Guns, bows, time machines, guitar amps, you name it.

He sounds to have many talents. Is he open to visitors?

[deloreandriver]

Sure, but he gets distracted so you might wanna, you know, give him some space if he looks like he's pretty intense...

Of course. [ She's familiar with the frenzy of those who love their craft. Nono, for one. ]

Has he tried to construct a time machine here?

[deloreandriver]

Not yet, but he's working on plans. I think.

We had been talking to Doc Brown, and he mentioned that we needed to speak to you about repayment for his time and efforts.

Oh yeah, with the sword blueprints, right?

[Marty thinks about this for a moment.]

There's a ton of stuff we need. Maybe you could do a few errands in the future? You guys definitely look like you can handle yourselves in a fight against those monsters.

[Marty visibly jumps. That was unexpected, but then he really should be learning how to deal with unexpected by now... especially with a dragon and this guy around.]

Oh, hi. The Doc and I, we go back a ways. I guess we just didn't talk about it up in the room. Kinda the whole dragon thing...

[ Meanwhile, behind the scenes. ]

Marty, are you sure about that name?

[ He's really flattered at "Doc Brown's Amazing Inventions", but, he's wondering if that doesn't make him look arrogant or something? ]

[Marty looks at the sign again, then sets it down.]

Yeah, why? C'mon, Doc, you got to sell this stuff. It's simple, it's true, they'll love it.

I'm not sure... But fine fine. I'll trust you Marty.

[ It's an area where Marty's better than Doc after all. ]

But you're gonna have work if it works, too much work! The two of us may not be able to handle this...

[ He scratches his head. ]

We may need to hire some more help.

Well, we get payment options, so one of 'em is they do errands for us. It'll work out, Doc, no sweat.

What would we be bartering with for 'The Doc's' services?

It depends. I mean we got errands sometimes, need supplies, help around the shop. Nothing like an arm and a leg.

[Oh Marty. He didn't know about the restaurant yet.]

[She doesn't know either, but it looks so much more tempting as each day goes by....]

I suppose that's a good idea. I do not have currently have anything that would require your services, but if he's as skilled as you say he is, it couldn't hurt to know where to direct others who would need him.

Sure thing. We're usually in Floor Fifteen. That's the workshop.

...What kind of stuff's he good at?

Most stuff. Science, inventing, repair, blacksmithing. If you got a plan for it, chances are he can probably build it.

He made these really super powered, awesome room sized guitar amps for me one time. Literally knocked me down, it was so heavy.

So he's like the master of this stuff, huh? Well I've been without my bike for a long time...think he might be up to something like that?

Yeah, that works. You might wanna talk with him about what you want, or draw up some blueprints.

... Mister Pipit and I and a few others are tending to the plants on that floor. I hope you're not thinking of disturbing them, because they're not going to be fully grown for some time.

No no no, why would- I was just wondering. Since, y'know, we got that problem with the nutrition bar things in the cafeteria... if there was a organized effort or something down there to grow food.

[voice]

... There is. We're handling it. And I'm sorry, but they probably won't be ready in time this month. I know it's hard dealing with the food they've forced us with, but we need to be careful with our resources and deal with that if we have to.

We're working on it, but it's going to take a long time.
