[He seems a bit distracted as he settles down, seemingly confused. Then, with a startled sound he begins to mess with his hair. A series of muttered curses in French color his preening as he tries to plaster down stray hairs that do not exist, staring rather blankly after putting his hands down as if observing something. Hushed:] I look like a recluse! Mon dieu!

[Leans forward, more determined than ever. He goes from trying to plaster them down to brushing them down for more volume, letting that prized hair cascade like a boss. He finally leans back ten minutes later, seemingly quite pleased. Yes. You guessed correctly; he used the camera as an impromptu mirror, not quite understanding that it was broadcasting. Of course he's not quick to leave. He did just spend around 15 minutes fussing over his hair and getting up too quickly would 'disturb' it.]

I... [huff! the nerve!] I have a beard, child!

[she takes her hair and wraps it around her chin]

Look now I have a beard too!

Not all of them do. It used to be a sign of nobility in my country to have longer hair.

[watches her give herself an impromptu beard, leaning to press his - stubbled - chin in his palm; not impressed but mildly amused.]

But does it stay if you take away your hand?

[Molly shrinks in her seat so he can't see her hand]

[headshake; smiling just so - he did like children. When they weren't putting jam-covered fingers on his expensive suits!]

But little one, you are a darling girl. You do not want a beard.

[slips on his stage whisper, just for her] Bad things like to live in them and you have to constantly fight them off. Very scary.

[she lets go and he hair falls back as she sits up straighter]

How come girls can't have beards? And I'm not afraid! I'm really strong!

Well, they can if they have a hormone imbalance.

A-ha... Mais oui. Of course you are! But girls do not have beards because it would distract from your beautiful smiles, and that would be heartbreaking.

Whatsa hormone imbalance? And what's mais oui? [what's that? An American child butchering your language?]

[after a confused look, she grins] That's silly, then boys don't have have pretty smiles!

It means 'but of course' in my native language. [He hid the wince well. Gold star for Francis today~]

Ha! Very true. It's very sad, darling. But, I will be okay as long as you promise me you do keep away from growing a beard yourself, yes?

[her eyes widen]

[This is where, if she wasn't a small child and he was more manipulative, he could do horrible things. Granted, he did smile in a rather devious manner]

Well, I can only think of a few ways. They are quite simple though.

[Makes a show of looking over his shoulders, ever the actor; deciding nobody was near to overhear (oh if he only knew), also leaning in to whisper]

Some say young damsels such as yourself would have to go on a quest when they came of age. About your age, in fact! They would have to search out a mighty lion and pluck a hair from his tail to keep. Something or other that having it would scare away impending beard growth as well as teach you life lessons.

Since our world has gone a little insane, however, I believe plucking the long hair from the scary Italian will make do.

[challenging stare into the camera] Are you up for it, my pet? It is quite the task...

[Molly leaves the computer and heads towards the fourth floor.]

[She gets there and looks around for the older man, but ready to attack if he turns out to be a bad guy!]

[He also left the computer, shutting off the video function after a moment of fiddling about trying to figure it out -- it had already caused far too many problems, none that he wanted to continue.

Stepping into the main area he'd said to meet, Francis spotted the girl looking about. Ready for the attack. She was awfully feisty.]

[Aw, she was adorable... and prone to causing chaos in a small package. Francis liked her already. He settled down on the chair across from her, elbows resting on his knees as he leaned forward; even if just casual chit-cat was happening he didn't like the idea of people overhearing]

Molly! Hello. [A curious child such as her would be the one to ask about The Plan first, so he'd allow her that. At least he assumed, given his experience with the younger children he'd had to deal with in the past]

[A very apt description of Molly indeed! To her, Francis looks like that uncle that everyone has! She'd be okay with that if she wasn't wary of all adult, especially parents!]

[Laughs a bit, shaking his head] Non, you do not. It is quite tragic. But you seem like a very smart girl, am I right?

[Not like he was being a horrible man or influence on such a young impressionable mind, oh no... he might need her to protect him after this happens.]
