In theory, simply "rewriting" things doesn't necessarily change anything. One can't simply predict how a paradox will come about.

If what you're saying it true, people may very well make the same choices as before, unless they possess the memory of what was going to be their future.

Who's to say your opponents won't learn from it, too?

the scratch is a mechanism implemented by sburb that basically acts as a super reset when the players fuck up
kind of like a universal reset i guess
it doesnt just redo our actions, it redoes the entire parameters of our world and our session
it literally rewrites the conditions of everything, to make the new players able to have greater success
which means the players this time around aren't the ones playing the next time around
so there's no way we're making the same choices even if we don't remember the old session
granted our opponent was a radioactive half-dog god but
the scratch rewrites their parameters and conditions too
so its basically a free for all

my friend and i played a video game that destroyed the world
then it teleported us to another place in the universe
boss fights and level grinding ensued
