Different than what exactly? I have previously been informed of human lore on trolls, about living under bridges, which I can tell you with the utmost certainty is a living choice in which we do not partake in.

Even young ones have the ability to think for themselves. To make creatures who obey without question leads me to think that the one in power fears for his position and therefore made a populace that is physically unable to overturn him or his decisions.
