[Lucifer has found that he's begun to use the network almost solely when he's angry. Truth be told it's one of the few times it has any real appeal to him, at least in regard to using it as his own platform to speak. And after the embarrassment and insult leveled at him by the Tower this last month, he's quite fed up. He needs something to take his mind off of things.

Which brings him to what he has to say.]

I quite enjoy competition. I believe myself a competitive man. But I felt there was something lacking in the competition the tower gave us. I found it a bit impersonal. Part of competition is getting to know the people you're competing against. That's not particularly possible when so many of them have had their identities crush and assumed by something else, now is it?

I'd go so far as to say it wasn't sporting.

I wasn't very satisfied by this last competition. If anything, it served to simply arouse my thirst instead of quench it. And so I would like to propose a more personal competition. A bit of a way for me to get to know some of you better. To even find a few more who are like-minded, you could say.

I therefore propose a duel, or set of duels, to take place one week from today. I will take on any and all challengers who answer my challenge whether they come at me one at a time or in groups or all at once. The challenged may even choose where the battle takes place and, if they wish, any restrictions they wish to impose.

It's been quite a long time since I've taken some exercise. And certainly there must be some others who would be interested in a friendly bit of competition.

It's as you say. An opponent who doesn't prove themselves worthy would be an uninteresting opponent indeed.

However since my ability to....observe, you could say, has been scaled back so heavily here, this seemed to prove one of the better solutions to finding out who here might be truly powerful.

Will I be disappointed by some? Certainly. But there must be some who can prove themselves to me.

[That, and he's just so angry that he needs something to take his mind of things. Something that could, in a way, sooth his ego. The Tower has insulted him, or he's perceived it to, time and time again since he's been here.

They don't. Sometimes, one must be broken down time and time again before acquiring enough fortitude to be able to function.

I suppose in that way this place does people a service. To become strong, one must be broken and build up again.

I'm afraid you're the one making grand gestures in this instance. Tell me who you are to claim this title, and perhaps I'll tell you who I am.

I guess that depends on what kind of duel you're talking about. Guns, hand to hand, something else?

The weapon is your choice. I myself do not use weapons, however. I prefer to use the weapon I've been given.

Though in making things fair, I suppose, I wouldn't begrudge one for choosing to use a weapon.

That's what makes it exciting, to see what those who answer my challenge might do.

As I said, the exact floor and rules of the duel are up to the challenger. Be it physical combat alone or magical alone or anything in between. It's been a long time since I've had a bit of exercise either way.

[He'd expected you to answer. Truth be told, it would be hard to point out just how disappointed Lucifer would have been if you didn't answer it, Naoki. Even if you're not the version that would challenge him in your world, who would take the mantle of one of his generals to go to war against YHWH, it was still part of you. The urge for combat, for competition and improvement and power that lay dormant in so many humans was brought to the surface a hundred fold thanks to your transformation.

That you should challenge him in the end wasn't an assumption as far as Lucifer was concerned, but fact.]
