[[Once that ominous message has been left, the young girl abandons the terminal she found on third floor of dormitories and begins her hunt. She has an ass to kick and she will find it. There's a four eyed black kitten on her heels, batting playfully at her coat tails as they walk and under her arm is a very large book of some sort. Occasionally she checks a terminal as she passes because you'd better believe she will descend upon her friend like a hawk when he replies, but beyond that she's going to head down stairs to look on the floor below. Maybe go a few more floors down if need be.

She'll care about where exactly she is later. It's probably just like SBURB anyway. Do some exploration and eventually you'll run into some helpful creatures! Surely that's how it works.]]

[[Salem notices him before she does, bounding over to bat at his cape. Rose, meanwhile, stands up...and glowers at him a little, crossing her arms. Well John? She's waiting.]]

[Oh kitty you are a good distraction! Here let him just pet your head a little.]

[And then he looks back to Rose...well she doesn't really look as pissed off as her message made her seem! Maybe she cooled down with all that time she had while he was climbing stairs. Maybe this won't be so bad after all!]

[Okay he's just going to walk over to her and attempt to take her wrist in his hand...he's thinking this is a conversation better had within the privacy of one of their rooms instead of out in the middle of a hallway.]

Dr. Spengler? [[She eyes him when he takes her wrist, frowning further.]] Why can't we just have this conversation here? Avoiding it isn't going to make your ass kicking any gentler, John.

Yes, Dr. Spengler. Dr. Meowgon Spengler, that's his name. And I'm not avoiding it, I just don't want to be overheard. [He tugs on her wrist a little. Come on, let's go it's just two flights up.]

Like I said, it's not anybody else's business and it's going to be a long explanation so you will probably want to sit down.

...but his name is Salem. [[Though fine, she follows after him. As long as shit gets explained.]]

No, it's definitely Meowgon Spengler. I would know because I found him and saved him from dying in the fiery inferno that was the lab near my house.

[And upstairs they go!]

And then I found him abandoned to fend off imps on his own in your house. His name is Salem.

He wasn't abandoned, he just didn't want to leave the house. He survived alone in that lab for who knows how long just fine, he was totally fine. Dr. Spengler is a little badass, aren't you Meowgon?

[He looks down at the cat in question. Who's daddy's badass? You are!]

[[The cat meows in response. Rose, meanwhile, frowns further.]]

You mean Salem's a little badass.

[Because that's his name. :T]

[[John, Rose is about ready to just turn around and not even talk to you.]]

No, it's Meowgon Spengler.

[Rose how can you go anywhere when they are already at his room? Look the door's open and everything, and he is clearly waiting for you to get your butt inside.]

[[And she's not budging, crossing her arms instead.]]

Augh you're such a stubborn asshole! If he's really Meowgon Spengler why was he in my stuff?!

Well you had him last didn't you?! Of course he was going to show up with you, not me! He's still my cat though, and his name is still Meowgon!

Fine, he's all yours! [[Just pulling her wrist away from him and marching off.]] Have fun with Meowgon you big ass.

[He marches right after her, leaving the cat sitting in front of the door.]

[He stops in his tracks. This isn't getting them anywhere. He's still irritated, but Rose is the only real friend he has here at the moment.]

...even if it starts with "I'm sorry?"

[His tone is considerably less angry, though it doesn't sounds like he's begging forgiveness or anything. He's just stating a fact. His explanation starts with the words 'I'm sorry.']

[[But...fine. She concedes and walks back over to him, pushing past him into the room.]]

[He says nothing and follows her into his room, picking up Meowgon/Salem/the fucking cat and closing the door behind him once they're both inside.]

[It should be easy to guess which bed is his. It's the one surrounded by horror movie posters and one random, seemingly out of place Problem Sleuth poster.]

[[Typical John. It has her smile a little at first and then she realizes it's the bed of a dick and she's not going to sit on it, instead just turn around to face him, arms crossed once more.]]
