[ Ishtar looked a little worse for wear, but she seemed to be holding on. The past week had been a bit of a disaster to deal with. She wasn't expecting to be chased by monsters and running around like a madman. She was glad that it finally looked better now, even though it probably wasn't. ]

Does this happen often? You know...monsters on the loose, and stuff?

[ She mused. She didn't know how else to approach this situation. ]

Because this is going to be one hell of a stay if it happens often.

[ She raised her brow. Her expression suddenly changing into a more concerned one. ]

Is everyone okay? If anyone needs help dressing wounds, or healing then I can offer my abilities. They're not great, but I can patch you up real well? If you need anything at all, please tell me. I don't mind helping around and about.

Elian, are you alright? Gaara, I haven't seen you at all since the attack. Tell me your location at least. Duzie, I know you're around somewhere, but be careful alright? Hei and Yusuke, you guys are fine right? Sorry I got you guys in a little trouble there when the monsters attacked.

[Don’t be calling them the same! He’s the one and only Duzell, the great Vampire King. No one else can take his place!

So what if she catches him? Why would he be in trouble just because of that?]

[He gets a free ride while she climbs up all those stairs. Besides, it sounds like they have something really important to talk about.]

[ Duzell was Duzell. There was no difference if there was one or two of him. Ishtar already knew that, but obviously there had been a clone of him as well. Ishtar couldn't easily throw that aside.

She'll just poke fun out of him and drive him crazy the way she usually did. ]

About what? There's nothing to talk about. Let's keep going.

[ She avoided the subject again, ignoring his question. She didn't need to tell him anything if she didn't want to. He'll have to pry it out of her later. ]

Well looks like we'll be kind of busy.

[ She shrugged, walking up more, while the bat gets to chill on her shoulder. ]

[He's no clone. He doesn't know who that other Duzell is, but he doesn't care. It isn't him. He knows who he is, not some imposter with his face.

She's doing a great job driving him crazy right now. Her avoiding it is all the answer he needs. What the fuck was she thinking! He didn't sacrifice his life so she could die! That was what he was trying to avoid!!]

(You're not getting away with it, Ishtar.) [He smacks her cheek with his wing.] (You're gonna tell me later, or else.)

[ He wasn't replaceable. She knew that much. The Duzell she knew and the current one were Duzell, but they were two different Duzells altogether. Ishtar couldn't really call the other one an imposter, considering she might as well be an imposter then. She wasn't the real Ishtar after all.

Ishtar did not want to dwell on that subject. It left a sour taste in her mouth, and she would rather not talk about it at all ]

I didn't do anything

[ She replied without batting an eye. If she wanted to really lie, she could.

Ishtar wasn't fond of it, but she didn't see why she had to worry him any further. She took the smack to her cheek without much expression. She only brushed her finger across the small red mark that formed. ]

There's nothing to tell, Duzie.

[He never did give her a straight answer about what he thought of her being a clone.

Lucky for Ishtar, he agrees this isn’t the best time for a talk like that. He’ll bug her again later. What’s more stubborn than a bullheaded princess? An arrogant vampire king.]

(You’re a shitty liar, you know that?)

[She doesn’t think he knows her enough to know when she’s lying? He’s not stupid.]

(Go do your thing already. I’m not going anywhere.)

[ Exactly, so Ishtar was worried about that as well. She was also relieved for that. He understood, so she didn't have to keep telling him that she didn't want to talk about it. Ishtar wasn't going to easily reveal things like this unless she really had to.

In this case, she did have to talk to Duzell about it, but she didn't want to. He didn't need to know if she died or not. She was alive now. Ishtar could be even more stubborn than Duzell, no matter how arrogant he was. ]

Yeah, yeah. I'm sure you already know everything then.

[ She shrugged. ]

Haha, right.

[ And off they go. Ishtar would certainly enjoy the company. ]

[He’s not really the talking or comforting type. She might be too dense to realize it, but he hasn’t treated her any differently than back home in Pheliosta. If there’s some way to show that to her, he just might prove it.]

(I know you better than you think.) [Ishtar has a lot of human friends, but they don’t see all sides to her. When he was her cat, he spent way more time with her than they did.

He’ll still bug her about the death thing later.]

(You can handle the monsters on your own. Show me what you’ve got, princess.)

[ she wasn't expecting him to be all rainbows and sunshine. She knew what kind of person Duzell was. He as a cold, and calculating, but he also had his moments. He didn't show it it all the time, but she always felt comfortable just having another person that understood her.

The idea of losing him made it painful. She was still unsure what to make of all of this. He was the real Duzell, not the clone Duzell who she learned many things about. He was a different person and she should treat him as Duzell from Pheliosta, not the one from Facility. She knew that all too well, but it still was painful on the inside. ]

Yeah, yeah, since you've spent so much time with me right? I could say the same for you too Duzie. I know you pretty well.

[ Because she always did things against his will and forced him to do things for her. She would avoid the subject for as long as she could help it. Eventually, she'll tell him about it. ]

Hah, this is rare, Duzie. You actually have faith in me?
