Um, hello. My name is Fate... Fate Testarossa Harlaown. It appears I've been brought to this place against my will, as I suspect all of you have as well... so I won't dwell on that matter.

[takes a deep breath, crossing her arms behind her back.]

I'd like to do whatever I can to help keep the peace around here, if I can. I would also like to volunteer to help any of the young people in the tower, if they so need it. I realize this is a difficult scenario for most people, so if I can provide support in any way possible, I'd like to provide it.

Finally... erm, it appears I have been placed in room 02-07... to anyone I might be staying with, I'd like to introduce myself, and express my hopes that we can live peacefully beside one another.

Ah, I see. [She laughs.] Well, there is no harm done! I do admit, it is a little unusual.

That bit of confusion aside, it is quite nice to meet you, mademoiselle. I, too, wish to help out my fellow residents however I can, so please do not hesitate to ask me for help. I'm still fairly new, but I will do what I can to be of assistance.

[A bit of her smile fades.] Oh, I should warn you.... If you do not possess any combat skills, you might want to find someone who can help you. This tower is far from safe.

... That shouldn't be a problem, I assure you. I am more than capable of defending myself.

Oh! Well, that's certainly good. Out of simple curiosity... what sort of skills do you possess?

... Well, I'm not exactly sure I can be entirely forthcoming with them. At least, not right now.

I see... well, whenever you feel comfortable revealing them, then I will certainly help you train or spar, if you wish.

... It's not that I'm against training, it's more... they are something a matter of security, and I'm not sure how secure these channels are.

I completely understand. There are just some things that we cannot tell others, for some reason or another.

I take no offense to you wanting to conceal your abilities! But... I do have to warn you that you might be forced to use them at some point. As I said before, this place is not safe. Monsters roam the floors, and I've seen and heard about terrible things happening to the residents here.

I'm glad to hear that. While I'm sure most people feel the same way... it is still good to hear such strong conviction. It's very reassuring.

A precious friend taught me about such conviction... I won't dare go back on it now.
