Let's see..The Snow Goose, The Little Prince, The Master and Margarita, Snowflake, Jennie, The Great Gatsby, The Key of Love, Silver, Theirs to Eternity, No Longer Human, Human Lost, Run, Melos!, Several Scenes of Mount Fuji, An Urgent Appeal, High School Girl, Lots of Sherlock Homes stories, The Grimms Fairy Tales, Green-Bud and The Magic Flute, The Hobbit, The Lord of The Rings, I, Robot, Story of a Snowy Night, First Love, The Call of Cthulhu, Heart and Skin, Roman Candle, Shame, Goodbye, Hans Christian Andersen's stories, The Well-Dressed Prince, and so many others..man, just typing up the titles and remembering them is making me hu-er, nostalgic.

All of those are possible and have happened. Although, time travel likely does not work in the way you are imagining, and war is still very real and does happen quite often. Such is human nature.

I have read many of those. A piece of candy will be located within a hollowed out book cover of two of those books in the library.

That's pretty amazing! It's sad to hear that war still happens..but I guess I was being a little too optimistic there. And how does time travel work where you come from then?

And I managed to find the books! It took awhile, but I did enjoy it. I don't call myself a book girl for nothing. Although..while I don't mind you hiding a candy in The Master and Margarita, hiding one in No Longer Human was in poor taste.

I did not hide them myself. However, I learned the locations of all candies hidden within the Tower using a special tool of mine. Beyond that, I cannot elaborate.

As for your question on time travel, it is very complicated, and requires a vast amount of preparation.

A device that can read the Collective Unconscious..where do you get such a thing? And what sort of person are you? How come you can read it and no one else can? Are you from the Collective Unconscious in some way?

To put it into the most simplified terms, if humanity does not progress along a predetermined path throughout history, humanity will eventually cease to exist.

The God I am speaking of is the same God referenced in many monothoeistic religions, however, at the same time, it is none of them. His true nature is nothing like it is depicted in religion. Humanity's understanding of Him remains to be extremely primitive. When He was observed in science, He was referred to as "U-DO." It was believed He was nothing more than a hyper-advanced AI living within the UMN that drives humans insane when it attempted to speak to them.

It is a combination of both. And I do not need candies myself; I have already gathered my own, and have rationed them out myself.

I see. I suppose we saw this god in our early years, misinterpreted it, and continued to do so. Although..I guess it isn't surprising that humans went crazy when it tried to speak to them. A gods voice and way of speaking would probably be totally different from ours, and might be over our heads.

At least, that's what some of the stories back home said. There were quite a few of them that had gods in them, and they were all a bit different.

Many have gone insane from U-DO attempting to communicate with them. The Lower Domain of the Universe is made up of the Collective Unconscious; an amalgamation of all individual minds of mortals. The Upper Domain is made up one large super-consciousness: U-DO. An individual consciousness cannot comprehend something of that magnitude.

I am one of three creations of the Collective Unconscious; I was created to ensure the Lower Domain does not collapse, by any means necessary. The way I have chosen to do this is the Eternal Recurrence.

The UMN is the backbone of the entire galactic infrastructure. Everything from communication, to interstellar travel, to the economy depends on it. It is created from the Collective Unconscious.

As for the favors, I will ask you when I will require them.

And..judging by that name and things said earlier, I'm going to guess that this Eternal Recurrence is the backwards time-traveling you spoke of earlier..and that it isn't just a one-time thing. [Tohko isn't quite sure how to take that. After all, if history just keeps on repeating itself endlessly, nothing new could happen. Nothing would change. She would constantly be a book eater..]

They are not as the Bible depicts them, but for all intents and purposes, yes. Only, naturally, the truth is not as it appears.

Ah, I see. And I would expect something like that to happen with texts that are thousands of years old.

They have been translated and re-translated countless times. It is only to be expected.

Sadly, things like that do tend to happen with books..it's a bit of a shame, really.

Is it? Religion's core purpose is to guide. 'Guide' is a synonym for 'lead.' And to some, to lead, means to control. It has served many purposes throughout human history, some more nefarious than others.

Ormus, for example. It has served its purpose admirably. Many have died because of it, but many more will be saved. There has not be a single plot without death, a gain without sacrifice. Such is the great tragedy upon the universal stage. Where life ends, more life begins. The Eternal Recurrence.

[Tohko sighs at this message.] While I admit that religion has done some terrible and good things, I was mainly sad that books, whether they be religious texts or a children's fairy tale, would be mistranslated through time. After all, when things like that happen, the original meaning is lost, and can't be recovered sometimes. And when something like that happens, a truly delicious tale that tastes like chocolate eclairs may just become a pile of undercooked chicken.

As for this eternal tragedy..hopefully a better genre can be picked soon. While is it probably unrealistic and foolish to hope for gains without sacrifices, a world where history constantly repeats with almost no change is a little sad. It means that almost nothing can be changed and that people have little to no free will. [And that she would be doomed, in that world, to constantly be a book eater. But she wasn't going to type that.]

Besides, while tragedies can be tasty, I prefer sweet stories.

I understood that. Though regardless, its purpose remains unchanged. In my case, I used Ormus as another way to ensure the Eternal Recurrence remained on course.

I am able to predict the future, Tohko. I cannot explore other options until I am sure humanity will make the right decisions. I do not do this for my own benefit, but for the benefit of humanity as a whole.

[While Tohko understood that the puppeteering of Ormus helped more people than it hurt, it is a little sad that it still hurt quite a few people. Plus, since it sounded like Ormus was a religious group, it didn't really seem right that they were being used.]

If you're able to predict the future, shouldn't you also be able to guess how different options and plans might help humanity?

...While I am glad that you're trying to help humanity, you are an..interesting protector.

It will be irrelevant unless humanity's will is strengthened.
