I suppose it is. It's a rather dumb place, to begin with.

It's unforgivable, to me, to correlate curiosity and exploration with punishment. Only someone not only sadistic but lacking imagination could think to do such.

right? no one should be punished for trying to learn more, it should only get a reward

most humans are too lazy or stupid to do that anymore so the ones who do should get a big thanks for working so hard

No. Sometimes there should be punishment. But not all the time. One can't only learn from reward.

I suppose I might agree with that to an extent. Mankind has become a sorry lot, no small thanks in part to their tendency to allow themselves to be led by whatever might be most convenient at he moment.

I will admit though. I often times find danger fun.

well sure danger's fun, but it gets boring when that's the only thing there is

it's uncreative, and you need to be creative to keep things interesting! these guys are pretty cliche

instead of it always being 'oh no you're mutilated suddenly' they should take things slow sometimes, really let the danger and fear sink in first

They do have a tendency to jump in to it, so to speak.

What you describe, however, would be someone describing or making a story. And while such things are how they are - what is life but a story, after all - very few have the perception to notice it. I doubt our most esteemed captors are self-aware enough to realize they're poor story tellers.

As far as I can tell, each of their "experiments" has had the same major reoccurring theme - to question who we are or further make it so we're someone else - though this is only for the ones I have participated in.

Of course they're third rate. If they weren't talentless and incompetent they most likely wouldn't be in the situation they are now.

hmm let's see, there was that lame one at hallowe'en that totally ruined my plans, the shadow thing, the dreams, switching bodies...yeah, you're onto something there. but really they shouldn't drag those of us who realise their incompetense into it

The Shadow event was not them, but someone from one of the worlds I come from, but the rest as far as I know might be them.

The Halloween one was absurd. Their insult on it was a slight I won't forget for a time to come.

oh? what did they do to you? I got a lamb costume from a kids' show. it was kind of cute. but then they made me into the slaughtered lamb. except with rabies or something. I think it was supposed to be biblical imagery, that part was lame

They dressed me as a little red devil.

The utter absurdity of it all was annoying.

a devil? what's weird about that, it's a pretty regular hallowe'en costume, right?
