She is no longer a child. I might say she does not understand how to consider another person's mind, but...some of what she did shows that she indeed can. What she does not understand is how wrong causing pain in this way is.

Because to attempt to befriend her and teach her would benefit everyone, her and her subordinates as well as ourselves.
