[Everyone will be wonderful under Hojo's care.

He appreciates Kidou's odd admiration, so unlike how his son regards him.

You're welcome to assist. Knowledge is as useful as healing abilities in its way. I could use more assistants. I don't expect most cases will require my personal attention.

What do you know about illnesses?

[He nods.]

Illnesses can be caused by just about anything. There are thousands of diseases in the world, and to my knowledge, this is the first time any kind of illness has struck the Tower. Frankly I'm surprised the is the first time anyone has gotten sick here, with how unhealthy the environment is.

Any illness is possible, but I suppose we should focus more on the ones caused by the cold weather, seeing how this outbreak of disease seems to be caused by the decreasing temperature.

That could be anything from the common cold to Hypothermia. And if we're not careful, people could get frostbitten. Even though that's more of an injury than an illness, it's definitely something we should take into consideration.

With the symptoms I've seen so far, it looks like it's an outbreak of Influenza. With the proper medicine and care, it could be taken care of in a few days. Though if it's not treated well enough, it could get more severe, and spread even further throughout the Tower. If it gets out of hand, it could even lead to Pneumonia. And teamed up with the cold atmosphere, death is definitely possible.

I'm sorry this is so very late!

Yes, it does suggest certain things, doesn't it, that pathogens are not rampant in an environment such as this? It cannot be an accident. It must be by design.

The cold, yes, it's a possible cause, but it could just as easily be a coincidence or a ruse. Hypothermia and frostbite are concerns, but my own expertise would be wasted on such simple complaints. I'll have my assistants deal with that.

Yes, yes, what you say seems an obvious conclusion. But it will be necessary to run some tests to be certain. Death, of course, is not a great concern here. It's more likely they want to see us react to the disease than kill us. It might turn out to be something interesting, rather than mere influenza.

It's not a problem!

That's a good point... it could just as easily be something caused by the administrators than a simple cold.

That's my belief, considering the fact that, up until now, there have been no reported cases of people contracting colds or influenza or other such diseases. At least, not as far as I'm aware.
