I did not say bring your allies closer to you, I said to keep your cards closer, meaning to not give yourself away so quickly. There is one thing to mistrust others, but another thing to gain their trust. You can mistrust while getting them to trust you. If these concepts are so important to you, than you should be trying to gain as much as possible. In this you are failing.

But it doesn't really concern me, personally I don't like liars and wouldn't encourage it, even if it meant for a more positive outcome than an alternate path.

Perhaps, but there is no good reason for doing something like that. For one it would disturb the lines between the world of the living and the world of the dead, as well the lines that keep branching timelines in order. It would be better to simply allow things to reach their natural conclusion than push everything together.

Perhaps for you, but from my experience there is a line between the living world, and what is outside the living world. The back of house so to speak. If there was no line everything would happen in the same place, and that simply doesn't happen.

I wouldn't go so far as to call them masters, if this was their goal. Skilled in a way perhaps, but the execution from what I can tell is too clumsy to be any sort of master.
