Most areas were difficult to live in because of demons, and the Millenium Center had control over the human settlements that were there. I remember how many gladiators were desperate to win the championship because it meant they could live in a relatively nice place.

I see..I'm not sure what this Millennium Center is, but that sounds like a horrible place to live. I'm sorry you had to grow up there.

[Aleph looks worried when he spots her.] You didn't have to rush all the way here.

[Ah, there he was! Tohko ran up to him, grinning.]

[She then held out the book to him.]
