I guess if anyone cares and hasn't noticed, Rider, Alexander the Great, or Alexander III of Macedon, how ever you might have known him, is gone.
For those involved with the Holy Grail War, you likely know he was trying to gather us together to create a peace treaty for the time being. The Grail probably doesn't exist here, and unless we can confirm it does, and we are all still eligible to win it, we should have no reason to fight. That was his thinking. As his Master and faithful subject, I still have a duty to follow through with his wishes. He may have been the one to suggest it, but it's as much his Master's responsibility as his own. I've seen Saber's message regarding this and it will be taken into consideration, but I don't consider it called off as of yet.
[Waver might also be found on floor 48, beside Rider's grave, trying to use magecraft to give the king a more suiting gravestone. Something big and flashy, to match the name engraved on it. He's trying to go for a lifesize ox-cart, in accordance with the story of Alexander cutting the impossible Gordian knot teathering them, which was said to have pleased Zeus and secured his position as conqueror of Asia.]

Too bad whoever made your spear isn't here, then...but I can do it like this.
As for Saber and the meeting...I know something happened, I'm sure she's justified, but really, I think we have a right to know what's going on if it's so dangerous. That's only more reason to have the meeting and drag things like this out.
...I really appreciate your offer, actually.

[Diarmuid sighs. As much as he wants to believe Saber is still the knight she claims to be, every time she does something like this he can't help but wonder if the feelings he got about her during their text were correct. No knight should keep such important information from their fellows.]
It is irresponsible to keep such information secret especially if she seems to think it a danger to so many people. Death is not permanent here which means we need to find a way of dealing with whatever the threat is. In addition, while I mean no disrespect to her, the short interaction I had with her made me wonder about her judgments on certain situations. The fact that she chooses to hold my actions during the experiment against me aside, she makes so many decisions I cannot understand. They don't seem to benefit those around her.
[He pauses to shake his head.]
Maybe you can understand her better than I can. I have only been here a month after all. However, new or not, I would not see Rider's work end like this. How can I help you?

But tell me, you say masters. Who else do you feel is a potential threat?
[He hopes Waver is not another one who sees Kariya as a threat.
At Waver's next words, Diarmuid looks away, slightly embarrassed by his praise.]
I think you overestimate the power of my spear, but I thank you all the same. Just keep in mind, unless the tower decides to return Gae Buidhe to me, I only have access to Gae Dearg and its abilities are only temporary. Still, those abilities are yours to use if you think they will be of use.

Temporary would be all we need, no matter what you say, it is strong, and maybe it could be used in conjunction with another Servant's Noble Phantasm, or some form of magecraft, to strengthen it. It's a possibility, anyway.

A look of frustration crosses Diarmuid's face.]
Why does everyone look so negatively on her? What has she done that is so bad? I know she's been hurt and...changed like Saber has, but unlike Saber I still see a human in her. I still see a young woman who desperately wants to stop hurting. Why must everyone continue to hurt her? It just makes her want to lash out more!
[Why does Saber get a chance when Rin doesn't? He doesn't understand and he feels like he's missing something. Something big.]

[He stops himself short. It has been a little while now from what he's heard, but if there are those who don't know Rin's lost her servant, maybe he shouldn't say anything. It might just make things worse.]
Look, I'm trying to help her. Can you at least have some faith in me, if you can't have faith in her?

I understand. I really do. She's not the...easiest to get along with.
[Honestly, hugging a cactus might be safer and more rewarding. In fact, if it weren't for the experiment and what had happened during it, he probably would fell the same way that Waver did.
He pauses a moment longer looking away from Waver and toward Rider's stone. His voice is suddenly very soft.]
I will understand if you no longer want me to be a part of this. Once people find out that I don't hate her and am even trying to help her, they might start thinking this whole thing is a set up of some kind. I don't want to risk your and Rider's plans. If you need a servant to stand next to you and support you, I'm sure Ruler will be an excellent choice.
However, I would still like to help...if I can.

You are a good master and a good person no matter what my master said. Rider was lucky to have you.
[He finally looks back at Waver with a small smile on his face.]
And I am honored to have the chance to work with you again. Do you know where you want to start preparing? What can I do to make things easier?

[Diarmuid pauses a moment, hand to his mouth before continuing.]
We have a mailroom now and most everyone has boxes, don't they? Why don't we drop a copy of whatever you come up with into their mailboxes? That way, if there are those who don't much like or trust the network--like I don't--won't feel left out. It might also get us more responses if we don't put anything that might identify the person returning them on the notes. That way, they can be honest with their ideas. This also might be good for those who don't want to or don't feel like they can come. They can still supply us with ideas.
If we are very open about this and let people see what we are planning, I would think there would be less chance of someone trying to pull something, don't you think?
