I guess if anyone cares and hasn't noticed, Rider, Alexander the Great, or Alexander III of Macedon, how ever you might have known him, is gone.

For those involved with the Holy Grail War, you likely know he was trying to gather us together to create a peace treaty for the time being. The Grail probably doesn't exist here, and unless we can confirm it does, and we are all still eligible to win it, we should have no reason to fight. That was his thinking. As his Master and faithful subject, I still have a duty to follow through with his wishes. He may have been the one to suggest it, but it's as much his Master's responsibility as his own.  I've seen Saber's message regarding this and it will be taken into consideration, but I don't consider it called off as of yet.


[Waver might also be found on floor 48, beside Rider's grave, trying to use magecraft to give the king a more suiting gravestone. Something big and flashy, to match the name engraved on it. He's trying to go for a lifesize ox-cart, in accordance with the story of Alexander cutting the impossible Gordian knot teathering them, which was said to have pleased Zeus and secured his position as conqueror of Asia.]

Waver..I'm sorry to hear that he's vanished. He was a good person, and even though I didn't see much of him, I knew he was a great guy. If you need someone to talk to, I'll be here, alright?

..And if you need help with organizing this meeting of yours, I'll help out. I'm not a Master or a Servant, but I know enough about your universe now that I don't mind helping out with organizing a peace meeting.

As for the meeting, don't worry about that either, it's between mages, so it might be dangerous to get others involved. We're not exactly known for being considerate.

Right, there's always a possibility. I thought he was here when we had fake memories, maybe they're not entirely fake after all.

Really, it's part of a war, so it's even less safe than usual. We've been told someone might try to attack everyone, so it's best to stay out of it.

[Diarmuid has been spending too much time on this floor lately especially since he's a new arrival, but after seeing Waver's text he has a feeling he will find the boy here and this is the kind of thing one doesn't talk about over a computer if possible. His feeling turns out to be correct, though it takes him a while to figure out exactly what the boy is trying to accomplish. When he does, he can't help but smile.]

It's a shame that I don't know more about carving. I might be of some aid to you then. He does deserve more than that paltry stone, doesn't he?

[Diarmuid's face takes on a more serious look.]

If you still wish to carry on the meeting, I will do whatever I can to help or if it comes to it, protect you. I...I don't understand what that Saber is thinking or what she knows and hasn't seen fit to share with the rest of us, but I think that having this meeting is a good idea. There are much more important things for us to deal with than fighting amongst ourselves.

[A certain sadness fills Diarmuid's eyes and his voice drops to a whisper.]

I really did look forward to having the chance to meet him again. He was a great man.

[Waver can't help but grin a little at the suggestion, even though he's sad, naturally, he has to keep Rider's teachings in mind. He would prefer celebration over sadness, treating it as another way to grow would be best.]

Too bad whoever made your spear isn't here, then...but I can do it like this.

As for Saber and the meeting...I know something happened, I'm sure she's justified, but really, I think we have a right to know what's going on if it's so dangerous. That's only more reason to have the meeting and drag things like this out.

[Diarmuid sighs. As much as he wants to believe Saber is still the knight she claims to be, every time she does something like this he can't help but wonder if the feelings he got about her during their text were correct. No knight should keep such important information from their fellows.]

It is irresponsible to keep such information secret especially if she seems to think it a danger to so many people. Death is not permanent here which means we need to find a way of dealing with whatever the threat is. In addition, while I mean no disrespect to her, the short interaction I had with her made me wonder about her judgments on certain situations. The fact that she chooses to hold my actions during the experiment against me aside, she makes so many decisions I cannot understand. They don't seem to benefit those around her.

[He pauses to shake his head.]

Maybe you can understand her better than I can. I have only been here a month after all. However, new or not, I would not see Rider's work end like this. How can I help you?

I'm not entirely sure yet, not until she offers any more information. But I know of a few Masters who might be trouble. I don't know who or what exactly is such a danger, but convincing those who might be scheming is part of keeping that danger at bay. A Servant would help with that. Especially with a Noble Phantasm like yours...if you could keep threats unable to attack, we might have a good solution. I can't say I understand Saber any better than you, it's been the same for a while now, and I don't know how or why she would keep that information to herself, when it seems like the knightly thing to do would be to warn everyone.

Heh, you think so? I don't know if just being able to summon him is anything impressive.

I need to know what we're dealing with first. But of course, the more Servants and Masters who are on our side about keeping everything civil, the better. It has to be made known the meeting isn't going to be a place to kill everyone off at once.

A peace treaty isn't a bad idea. I don't feel we have a reason to fight here. I still think we might be able to work together for good.

I think so too. Everyone should at least be able to agree to a ceasefire, and it would be nice if those of us who want to take it further could organise something. There are a lot of powerful magi and Servants, and even more defenseless tower occupants, we could do a lot to help them when things get bad.

That's right, the strong should help the weak if they can. I'm not a powerful magus, but I'll do what I can. I know some of the Servants are already helping, but if we were organized, we could do more good for more people.

[Though if he could obtain the Grail here, he might feel differently about this treaty.]
