◎second quest { video }
[ frodo despite his quiet nature, his habit to keep to himself in this place, is still present. he looks far more worn (worse) than last he spoke, his eyes shadowed and blue, face pale. in his hands is a book, acquired from the library, and yes, he's aware of what's been happening.
you'd think he's speak grim words, with such a worn looking body, but instead his voice is light, faint but present: ]
Do you have a story? One that perhaps you've grown up with as a child? Or one that's stayed with you. 'That really mattered, ' As a dear friend might say.
I think I should like to hear of such stories, if you can still remember them. I asked a place before this one the same question, but each person has a different tale, or so I'd believe. What of yours?
[ if you can still remember them in a place as dark as this, they same to grow darker still, the places he goes. ]

[Anon Text.]
Surrender not to the rain,
Surrender not to the wind,
Nor yet to the snow nor heat of summer.
Holding fast the body sound
Without greed and
Grieving not our wrongs
Ever with a quiet smile.
Shedding tears in time of drought,
Walking bewildered in the summers of cold,
Named by all a good-for-naught
Neither praised
Nor concerned.
Such a figure
I wish to be.
voice;
..I think it a worthy desire. To be such a person.
[ he sounds faintly sad at that, but there's a bit of warmth in the hobbit's voice. not a bad thing to wish for at all. ]
[Anon Text.]
voice;
[Anon Text]
Thank you though. Hopefully you haven't faced too many of those things.
voice;
[ like his cousins. like sam, like anyone who had been innocent and meant to dwell that way. innocently.
there's a pause, and his voice sounds tired. ]
I imagine many have here, already.
[Anon Text.]
..So do I..pain and suffering are horrible, even if they do have good points and endings. However, sometimes, you cannot.
I imagine many people have face many of those things and haven't been able to avoid some suffering..but..this Tower isn't full of just suffering and despair. Not all parts of the journey are full of pebbles in your shoes, and not every sad ending is completely sad.
voice;
So there isn't. There are good people to be found still, even here. Selfish of me to admit, but there are those here I thought never to see again. I'm thankful that I was able to meet them once more.
[Anon Text.]
Of course. No matter where you go, there will always be good people hanging about, even if you don't realize it. And it's not selfish that you wanted to and are happy that you're able to see your friends again here! That's normal. Even Hell can be made a Purgatory with the right people.
While no one from my universe has come here, I'm happy to see that people from yours are.
voice;
but he's silent, thoughtful. it's kind words spoken, so he knows the words to be true. he's speaking to one after all. ]
Yet I imagine you've made some good companions, just the same? It was the way of things before I came here, in another place I hadn't ought to have been.
[Text]
Tohko paused before she typed. That was true..she had made a lot of wonderful, precious friends here..but there was no denying that she wanted to see her family again.]
That's true..I have made a lot of wonderful friends here..but I didn't know that you had come from a different place like this before! You're not the only one I've met like that, to be honest.
voice;
[ he sounds incredulous, but there's fondness along with an old sort of memory. it was a dark place, much like this one. ]
[Anon Text..and the one above was supposed to be Anon text too..]
voice; it's okay frodo thinks u should show ur face ok
[ there's a pause ]
Though, I should like to ask..is there a reason you aren't showing yourself?
[Anon Text...but, Frodo, she's..actually trying to be careful with the networks for once..><:]
Actually, I could imagine a hobbit doing things like that. Others may not..but some of them are adventurous, if put into the right circumstances.
[Tohko gives a small sigh as she types. How to reply..]
..I'm just trying to be careful with the networks nowadays. They are monitored, you know.
voice
[ Daddy walking out on you as a kid, well that was not a good story. ]
Why is it you would wish to hear them? [ Maybe it might damper the tower situation? She's guessing.. ]
voice
[ a pause ]
..Because it does well to remind me of things.
voice
Which sort of things are these?

And you would think of stories when a time becomes unpleasant? I don't seem to follow your logic. [ She doesn't follow that logic, living in a school of mutual killing gives you that mindset, she supposes. But encouraging? Logically, stories are the last thing she would think of. ]
video;
What about a scary story?
