ITP: An old joke
[Text; Anonymous]
What is love?
How do you know if you love someone? Is it really as powerful as they say?
(ooc: In before someone makes this joke. Feel free to threadjack and such in response to this.

This is where it gets difficult. If you can't let that person live their own life, you've become that creepy person everyone points at and makes fun of. If you're all the above but fine with the fact that the other person can do what they want, you're in love.
Text and anon for both until otherwise noted?

[And yet he can't resist adding his two cents.]
love is hard to describe, really. it's hard to find words that are really adequate.
the first person did a pretty good job of describing it though.
all i would add to that is that it's best when the feeling is mutual. loving somebody is great and all, and having somebody love you is pretty awesome too.
but when both parties love each other, THAT'S when you really have something.
and it's just something that you kind of...know? i'm sure that's a pretty shitty way of putting it that doesn't actually answer the question at all but it's just one of those things that you KNOW with all your heart.
and people fight wars over matters of love. so yes, i would say that it is every bit as powerful as people say.
but on a less drastic scale, it's probably one of the few things in this world that can make you insanely happy and utterly terrified at the same time. that's a force to be reckoned with, don't you think?
Anon; John couldn't be anon if he tried. XD
wow no he so could! maybe! no not really.
Anon; If he could figure out how to use text that wasn't blue, maybe.
hey he's managed it a few times......it's just such a weird feeling though, man.

Add this to the list of things to never tell Gawain ever. She'd skip this over to avoid how awkward it would be--and, oh, it's awkward enough to make this post--but if she did so it might raise suspicion and so she replies:]
Do you know that from firsthand experience?

I'd think anyone who has been here for more than five minutes would have already gotten over their mall goth phase, but I guess I was wrong.
then again, with a quality question like OP's, I don't know what I was expecting.

So yeah, it can be sacrifice. It's also fear, that you're not good enough and they'll leave you once they realize it, or that they'll be hurt and there won't be anything you can do about it. And I guess it's a weakness, that way, because you don't really care about yourself if it's for their sake, and it's stupid and irrational and you just can't stop. You don't want to, either.
I don't know if it's powerful, or what you define as powerful. But you'll know, when you feel it. You'll know and it'll hurt and it'll scare you, but you might just be lucky enough to come out of it better off because of it.
Assuming anon/text until otherwise noted for both.
--it's almost scarily how she felt ever since Shirou started making those proclamations at her from the beginning. So scary it takes her breath away.]
What do you do if you hurt the person you love and you can never apologize to them?
ekfjgsdfg, this got lost in the depths of my inbox, sorry!
[not anon]
Love's Power is so great that it survives all that humankind can do to dishonor it or put it to death. It survives even Lovers themselves.
But Love is Rare, and while it might outlast cruelty or pain or death itself, it cannot stop those things from being.
[ANON. FOREVER. FOR. EV. ER.] Also text.
There is a very long pause before he gets a reply. The only reason he gets one at all is because Arturia is convinced it'd be suspicious if he didn't get one while everyone else did.]
Do you know what to do if you hurt the person you love and cannot ever have a chance to make it up to them?
[It strikes her as strangely comical how she doesn't know if she's talking about Shirou or Guinevere here.]
[HAHA, INDEED]
There's something comical about her getting love advice from the guy who took her wife. XD
Oh, I'll say! ;3
...I also have no idea where this TL;DR came from.
It comes to us all, from time to time-- and it's all good by me!
