[A rather young looking redhead appears on the screen, looking extremely annoyed. Well, he's usually annoyed, but people watching most likely don't know that because he's new to the tower, assuming the people here are strangers. ]

"So...they bring us here and tell us our world has been destroyed and saved us. Yeah, okay, maybe that's a possibility... (after all, hadn't Mikoto-san's power been going out of control when he and that shitty monkey had been fighting the Black Dog? Not even he couldn't deny it then. Had Mikoto-san actually...done it?) So what the hell do the people in this tower want with us?"

[He's talking very excitedly, and here he pauses to take a much needed breath

"How can we be sure it isn't the people of the Tower who destroyed our world? He bites his lip here, not wanting to admit that it was probably actually his hero that destroyed his world in his particular case) Yeah, I'm pretty sure some of you already wondered that. But I just got here and I want to know what the people already living here think..."

[This place sure liked bringing them in young. Not that she was much older, but she wondered if most of the younger tower residents were ready for this kind of hardship. Regardless, she had gotten used to at least welcoming a new face whenever she had a chance to and today she really had nothing else at the moment.

A mint hued, odd looking gal comes into view and smirks. You also immediately notice her thick accent.]

Take it how ya will mon, der be many tings people be believin' but da general notion is dat our worlds be gone. At da least, da ones dat we came from in particular.

[Because there were multiple worlds, realms, realities, dimensions, timelines... enough to make anyone's head spin.]

As for wat dey be wantin'. Dat's up ta joo ta decide. But as a general rule, joo best be gettin' ready ta play guinea pig for dem experiments dey like runnin'.

Dis won't be a walk in da part, at da least not fer da majority. But least I can be doin, is welcimin' joo.

[Yata is pleased that first person he speaks to is somewhat friendly. The boy may be a bit brash, but he knows when to show some respect. He was a HOMRA, after all. No matter what anyone said, a member of HOMRA had pride. He's a little shocked by the appearance of her skin, but he likes the sound of her voice.]

"...So our worlds were really destroyed? There must be a whole lot of worlds out there, then...I noticed my own room was full when I came to use this thing..."

[He seems a bit too curious yet confused to be anything other than somewhat polite as he speaks to her.]

"So there is a catch! They do...experiements? What kind of experiments? Maybe that's why they're collecting us..."

[Xue smiles and nods. He lies that he's rather calm, at least as calm as one could feasibly be considering the situation.]

Aye mon, as far as we be knowin', dose of us who be here have lost our worlds. Der be people from all walks of life here, so while der will be nice folk who can help ya deal wit tings, der be a few dat... well, ya know wat dey be sayin'. Ders always someone lookin' out only fer demselves and don't care if dey be hurtin' odas.

[As to the latter question, she shrugs.]

Aye, ain't it always da case? Always a catch mon. [She says as she sakes her head and chuckles.]

All sorts of experiments mon, as to why? I be not too sure, I try not ta tink 'bout it.

Last month I be havin' ta replay a departed spirit's death personally an' privately... Den dey had her spirit haunt me fer da remainder of da month... It was ratha unsettlin', not ta mention da fact dat it was a fatal experiment if I be failin'...

[Oh, right... that... She supposes she better explain that.]

Also... as far as we be knowin', ya don't stay dead in dis towah... Dey be bringin' ya back, which makes it convenient for da experiments ta not have ta worry 'bout killin' us...

[The boy sighs. This didn't sound good at all. But he supposed that not being able to die completely for a while wasn't such a bad deal.]

"So do they like...try to kill us? Or not care when we get thrown into dangerous situations? I don't like the idea of being dragged to a place where I'm killed all the time. Uh...I don't know, I guess I could eventually deal with it. I wish Mikoto-san was here...'

[He trails off, looking very much like a lost little child for a moment before snapping out of it]

"Damnit, I'm not gonna let the bastards get me down! I'll make the best of this!"

Aye, dey do. Not always doh, dem experiments are sometimes pretty simple or a bit nonsensical but der be always, always a chance at dyin' here mon.

[Mikoto-san? Maybe that was someone close to them. She hadn't heard of anyone by that name here but she'd keep an eye in case she could get those two together.]

Dat's a good spirit ta have. If der be one ting ya can do in dis place, is nevah give up and nevah let em' keep ya down mon. Jus' keep on movin' forward.

"That's exactly what I'll do! I won't let Mikoto-san down! I'll show this place what it means to be in HOMRA!"

[He's too bus beaming with pride to exactly explain who Mikoto-san and Homra are, respectively, even though he's aware that the lady he's talking to won't know.]

"O-oh, sorry...you don't know who they are? I can tell you if you life, but this doesn't seem to be the best type of place to have a friendly chat about worlds...but I'm up for it you want to!"

[Xue couldn't help but laugh sincerely at his attitude and his enthusiasm. She really liked it, it was the sort of attitude that she wished wouldn't be drained out of him during his stay here.]

Tis alrite mon, I actually would like ta be knowin' more 'bout joo, joor world and dis Homra ting ya mention as well as yer friend?

[She didn't want to assume who exactly this Mikoto was to him.]

But joo be partially correct, sometimes it be best ta speak in person dan on dis network.

If ya be havin' time an' wana chat, jus' lemme know an' we can be meetin' somewhere ta chat.

[He seems to appreciate the fact she's being rather nice and taking an interest in him. He's used to being either ignored, treated as errand boy, or constantly overestimated. HOMRA fixed that...until it fell apart. It was nice to see to someone curious about him and him alone.]

"It'd be nice if we could meet somewhere to chat. Where do you suggest? I don' really know the lay out of this buliding..."

Well, da cafeteria and da dorm floors be da safest, so if dat be workin' for joo, we can make our way ovah der an' talk.

[She had other preferred floors, but right now she wanted to keep things simple since he was new.]

Do you want to meet now or later? I'd prefer somewhere we can at least sit down.

[He gives her a a grin]

In 'bout an hour I be sayin'? Should be enough time.

[She winked and smiled, visibly grabbing a few items as she got ready to head out.]

[He's too excited at the ideo of talking about HOMRA and Mikoto he doesn't notice her wink or the fact she called him cutie. If he had, he probably would have started blushing and stuttering. But he doesn't notice and he's wondering how the hell to pass an hour.]

[Xue would have gotten there early. She hadn't eaten just yet and she figured she'd cook something for herself and her soon to arrive guest. She usually tended to eat what she hunted. Nice, thick slabs of meat with some fried vegetables. Drinks were usually juice she prepared herself, being a rogue made you cautious of what the owners 'provided' anyways.

She was sitting at the table with her own plate, already eating idly, while another was sitting in front of her, covered so nothing can fall in it.]

[He arrives in the cafeteria a few moments after she sits down with the plates. He has no problem finding her, since she's rather unique. He notices the plate first thing.]

Is that for me? It smells good. I'm hungry...all I've had since I've been here is watery oatmeal

[Xue laughs and nods.]

Ya mon, figured jood be wantin' someting nice aftah da oatmeal. It be a necessiry, even if it be tastin' dreadful.

[Of course she's had worse meals in her time out on the battlefield.]

It probably wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't watery.

[He uncovers the plate slowly to reveal a homecooked dish that smelled really good to him. It was clearly something she'd made herself.]

This looks great! What do you call this? Something you made yourself should have a name...

[He doesn't yet tell her that cooking has a special meaning to him. That would fall under telling her about his world.]

[Xue smiled warmly.]

S'called a warm meal mon, dat be it. [She joked back.]

Can't say I've named it, haven't thot 'bout it really. With all dat be goin' round here, guess it be slippin' my mind.

But I be glad ya seem pleased wit it, and I be hopin' ya like it.

[Yata's the type that's lived on food like cheap ramen and other quickly prepared, low cost items like that, so the food is pretty good to him. He isn't exactly the picky sort, either.]

It's delicious! I used to have a friend that cooked for me and everyone at home...I learned most everything I know about cooking from him...he used to go on about the importance of the little things, like the dish's name...

Aye, I can see how dat be important. I have ta admit, dis place kind of makes ya miss simple tings. So maybe I be startin' ta name m' dishes hm?

[She grins.]

In honor of our friendship, Xue be lettin' ya name dis dish den.

...Oh your name is Xue? That's pretty! I'm Yata Misaki, also known as Yatagarasu, or just Yata! I'd prefer you calling me Yata.

[He pauses and returns her grin here.]

...And I think I'll name it...Xue Stew!

Aye, dat it be! Well, it really be Xue'Kol, but most jus' be callin' me Xue so dat works!

Yata eh? I be likin' it, it has spunk ta it. Which I be tinkin' it be fittin' since ya be havin' a fiery spirit, I can tell.

[At the naming of the dish she chuckled and grinned.]

Xue Stew hm? Dat works! Xue Stew it be den.

[A fiery spirit, eh? She honestly had no idea how accurate that was.]

It's pretty good. I hope you remember how to make it.

A'course I be rememberin' mon, wat ya be takin' me for? A quillboar?

[She laughed and shook her head.]

I be makin' sure I keep ya in mind when I be cookin' in case ya show up again. I dun be mindin' sharin' my hunts and meals with dose dat be appreciatin' it.

A quillboar be one a' da races from my world, yes. Dey be dense an' nawt too smart mon. Dey be da kind ta beat der heads against a wall until it moves or dey be knocked unconscious.
