[03] || [Video/Audio] || [Awakening]
[ Greetings people of the tower, have the King of Evil who cursed the tower this month appear on the terminals, for the first time in over six months. He looks fairly neutral, with a very light smile. ]
So long as it been since I last posted here, and yet I see nothing changed. The same cycle has been repeating over and over again, both here and where we come from. Higher powers play with those they see as inferior... Cruel and pointless games meant to satisfy their own amusement. From the tortured crowds sometimes a voice arise, then many--
But at the first bone tossed their way, the mindless masses go back in rank behind the higher powers they chose to venerate as deities. At the first occasion to forget, they chose blissful ignorance. Yes... In the end, complacency reigns. People always return to their meaningless preoccupations and lose of sight what should matter most.
[ He pauses and shakes his head in disapproval before continuing. ]
Have voice even been heard in this tower? Many entertained -and without a doubt still do- the idea that following certain golden haired women would bring them what they longed for. Yet, nothing happened. All they did was replace a deplorable situation with another, build a false hope they could comfort themselves with. All they did was turn a blind eye on reality.
Not a voice arise to stand against the status quo. [A very short and deep chuckle.] How pathetic. Tell me, Tower of Animus, do you not believe time has come for you to awaken and bring about an end to this?

[Voice]
Which is exactly what he wants, she's sure.
But there's an even more horrible thing - an awfulness that even she can't deny - and that's how there's a little too much validity to his words than she'd like. How much of the 'game' had she been a part of? Had Ruana used the wedding for sport, as an experiment to see how the initial reaction of those in the Tower would take to such an event, to have them rise up against a 'voice of reason' (as he called himself), and then watch the horrible fallout when one part of the pair was quickly removed just shortly after?]
So then what should we do? This cycle will continue on until we stop it, and while there are those who've tried just look what it got us.
[Nothing but despair, pain and angry Admins.]
Its almost funny, hearing this from you. You, who have had just as little success as those 'certain golden haired women', complaining about complacency when you seemed just fine and happy doing the things you've done to others.
[Like make her a mini-Turk, brain-wash Reno, manipulate Shion's hand into killing him.]
Those are big words from a big man with little results. Even if there were those among us ready, willing, and able - getting to that 'end' is much easier said than done.
[Voice / Semi-Locked]
[ He chuckles and slowly shakes his head, with a nearly cruel smile. As if such people even existed within this tower. ]
Would you care to please elaborate on this? I see no such people here, not even you. Yet you should have even more reasons than I to stand against this tower.
[ He pauses and locks the video before moving onto the next part. ]
Everything I have accomplished in this tower so far has had a meaning, a purpose. I know you refer to what I have done to Reno, and by extension to others-- Xion, Shion, you. If I had not made it clear enough before, I shall repeat it: the three of you were of no consequences to me and I felt no animosity toward any of you.
However, you are certainly aware of what Reno had done. You were targeted because at some point, you stood between him and I, nothing more. I know little about the world you come from, but I doubt traitors are treated with more respect or with less severity. I doubt you would have done any better, would you have been in my position.
I could have handled his betrayal differently. As far as I am concerned, I have been generous, but in the end this matters little. Ruana and her dogs have settled this for us, haven't they?
[ Obviously referring to Reno's disappearance-- And he unlocks the video for the next part. ]
Soon two years will have gone by since this tower first welcomed residents. Yet, nothing happens. My point is that people are not even trying to get something accomplished.
