Maka died last week. She'll wake up in her bed, but before then, in the few seconds before she wakes up, there's a flash of light and she transforms, growing blades from every inch of her body, like a flower made of deadly metal with her as the center. As quickly as they appear, they vanish again.

Then comes waking up, and sleep paralysis. For ten minutes, she is trapped motionless in her bed, unable to move any part of her body. She panics, trying to fight it, but there's nothing she can do. It passes, eventually, and she sits up with a strangled screaming sob, shaking, arms wrapped around her torso.

[Eventually, she makes her way to the terminals, and figures out how to post.]

Anybody here know how to fight hand-to-hand? A spar would be a good way to work off some energy after last week.

[It's interesting for a lot of reasons, none of them good. The concept has bad implications in a world ruled by the personification of order.]

Don't you think it's interesting?

[chaos understood that the word had a lot of bad meaning. It was why he had renamed himself it. His existence would eventually cause chaos, after all.]

Perhaps. It is a name with meanings like any other.

I guess it is. My mama picked my name because it's a rearrangement of the Japanese word for scythe.

I think Mama and Papa were hoping I'd be a sycthe.

[While that was odd, it seemed to make Maka happy, so chaos didn't lose his smile.]

[She shakes her head.]

No, I'm not a scythe. They were just hoping for one, but I take after Maka more than Papa.

While that is not a bad thing, how are people born as scythes in your world?

... Don't you have weapons where you're from?

We do. However, they are usually made out of metal and other materials, not people.

They're made of metal in my world too.

Some people are just born with a weapon form.

Ah, I see. That does sound like an interesting universe. Things like that do not happen in mine.

That is true, but people usually make them out of things in the universe. They are not born like normal people and take on weapon forms in my universe.

Well, yeah, you can make normal weapons, but...

You mean there really aren't any demon weapons where you're from?

Since there are no demons in my universe either, I would have to say no.
