I'm afraid I'm quite new, so I don't know where to even begin.

For reference, 'decent' means tops that button up to the neck and skirts that are at least ankle length. Thank you.

If I can find some scissors I may just resort to making an apron out of my bedsheet to put over this uniform. I don't know how Miranda feels comfortable walking around in bottoms as tight as this.

There might be knives in the kitchen. They are uncomfortable to wear.

I would advise against procuring clothes in this tower unless they are specifically made for you by another resident.

Indeed, there have been numerous cases where the clothes provided by the tower have proven to alter the mind of the wearer before trying to kill them. Caution is hence advised.

I suspect people who take pleasure upon causing suffering to others or those who display cruelty may attempt to do such a thing.

Such people are numerous in the tower. Further caution is advised.

Your trunk may have some of your clothes if no one has told you. Otherwise, there's a floor with fabric and sewing machines I think. I don't frequent it, but I can look it up for you.

I can give you a quick lowdown if no one has. Like for starters. Eat the crappy porridge they give you first unless you want to upchuck everything.
