I'm The Doctor, but most of you know that.

What you don't know--or rather, who--is the Ponds. My Ponds. My absolute favorite, simply incredibly, delightfully average, one half mad ginger, one half large-nosed Roman, couple. They're here, and I want you all to know that Team Pond Doctor--or maybe Doctor Pond--is working on helping you all escape.

[He frowns a little, and his voice lowers.] I realize that I've...failed you recently, but I want you to know that it won't happen again. And if any of you need anything, do not hesitate to ask me for help.

Not too bad, actually. [And for once he even looks it. There's a soft sort of clam in his voice, something the Doctor hasn't heard from him yet]

My brother showed up the other day.

[The Doctor notices. Boy does he ever notice, and that makes him smile.]

I'll have to track him down. Pop in, say hullo, offer him a dashing bowtie.

[laughs] Al might just take it, too.

[Speaking of Al... that reminds him.] Oh, there was something I wanted to ask you about, but I'd rather not discuss it over the network. Think you can meet me somewhere a little later?
