I do not know what happened to my own world, but I would ask that nobody visits Floor Twenty-Five, for now. I'll be headed there after I make this entry.

[ He has heard that it will always appear that way; peaceful spring weather, with a pretty meadow. Maybe then, if he stays there... his magic won't affect it. Hey, it was worth a try. ]

I don't wish to introduce myself. It is better if nobody here knows who I am, or what I am. Though if anyone encounters a book in either of the libraries titled 'The Book of Zeref,' tell me. I will dispose of it. I may be the only one here who knows how.

[ And sure enough, there he is, later. He's kneeling in a small clearing, staring down at a certain white flour. The flower was oddly resilient. It wasn't wilting, wasn't turning black and crumbling to dust just from being near the Black Wizard. But isn't that how it always is? ]

Our world... destroyed.

[ He whispered to nobody in particular, feeling tears threaten to roll down his cheeks. He picked the small flower, ripping the stem between his fingers. It immediately wilted, the petals shriveling up and falling off, with the stem becoming coarse and rubbery. Zeref simply dropped it where it was. ]

Was it me? Was it Acnologia? [ Again, asking nobody in particular. ] I guess it doesn't matter. Maybe it was better off, after all.

I know it is, but it is no less true.

If you're going to turn into a monster or something, it's better if you tell people. It lets us know what's going on and what might hurt us, and somebody might be able to stop you.

I am responsible for countless deaths. I am likely responsible for my world's destruction, as well. I need to be destroyed.

No you don't.

People die just by being near me. It is the price paid for mastery over Death Magic, and that is the least of my sins. A world that rejected me lies destroyed. I must be punished.

Then you need to find someone here who knows how to make magical shields or something. The administrators just bring you back if you die.

Those existed in my world. They can only hold back magic of this magnitude for so long.

Everyone deserves a second chance. Besides, you can't just take up an entire floor all to yourself. Some people like that floor. [An attempt at a joke.]

Any second chance I had expired long ago.

Then I'll find another floor to live on later.

That's stupid. Second chances don't just expire.

I used my second chance. And my third, and my fourth.

You can have as many chances as you need as long as you're sincere.

They would be in vain.

You just need someone who can help you control your magic. Once you figure that out, I'm sure everything will be fine!

I wish it were that simple. It would have stopped so many tragedies in my own world... all except one. One that, admittedly, had little to do with me.

[ It was likely literally impossible to control Death Magic, not without become a psychopath and losing any and all forms of empathy and compassion. Zeref didn't just know every trick in the book when it came to the Black Arts, he wrote the book. If he couldn't find a way to control random Death Magic explosions, it definitely wasn't due to lack of trying. ]

Magic isn't limited to what you know in your own world. In my world, all magic is destructive and corrupts anyone who uses it. In other worlds, it doesn't do that.

Some magic in my world does that, but... not all forms of it.

Magic is different everywhere. Someone here might be able to keep yours from hurting other people.

As much as I would like that... I am not optimistic.

It can't hurt to try.
