I am speaking of them the way they are. It is the reality of the situation.

Would you rather I use kind words, tell them they have tried their best when they have not? Tell them that next time they should do better? To tell them that it's alright, to comfort them in their mediocrity and world of illusions?

Feel free to do so. But I will not be one to speak of the reality in lesser terms only because some people cannot bear it.
