So now that we've seen what this did, who else has some brilliant plan they're hiding? Let me hear it, I'm due for a good laugh.
Also who wants to take bets on this Jason month being extra horrible? Just as a public service announcement:
Asking him to take you instead of other people doesn't work. At all. I mean yeah you'll get what they got or were going to get, but they'll still get hurt. So don't be an idiot.
[Private to Yu Narukami]
This is kind of embarrassing, but um...
My voice keeps cracking. Is that normal? And I think some of my clothes are starting to get a little tight.
Is this what puberty is like? I don't like it.

Look at your life, Tower. Look at your choices.
...Okay yeah and now he was smirking a bit on his end because oh, Ken... If only you knew.]
That would be puberty, yes.
Growth spurts and voice cracking is something we all went through. The latter doesn't last a year, though- just a few months.
Need help with the clothes or does Yoshino-san have it covered?

... Maybe the next time Jason tries to mess with me I can squeak at him, I'm sure that'll scare him off.

[Okay not really but imagine it: your shorts suddenly being equivalent to almost nonexistent as they'd be waaaay shorter.
Pardon him; he's trying not to laugh at the memories of nearly being over six feet tall practically overnight (to his parents, anyway).]
Maybe we should work on your squirrel.

Chicoo chicoo.
[voice]
Rather like children who spill paint and call it art.

[... Crap. His voice breaks at the end of the word.]
Wasn't there a famous artist like that?

[She gracefully deigns not to bring up the crack in his voice- though she makes a note to check up on him later.]
Pollock was a hack. People think that just because they assign something meaning, it makes it meaningful, when in fact it just means they're hopeless fools looking for something that just isn't there.

However, they wanted to do something and they did. I can't say they failed.
*As one who helped place the chips, he would be a hypocrite if he called this a failure just because it could have hurt others.*

You guys are kind of crazy you know

But we can't just keep trying to live like this. If we could do anything without disturbing life for other people, we would, and if such a chance arises we will take it.
We want the pain to end. We want to do something and not be helpless, powerless. That's all we want.

Then again I guess I don't know the details, so whatever. I'm just trying to have as much of a normal life as I can get since the conditions here are at least sometimes better than those at home. At least there's reliable food even if I don't trust anything related to nutrition bars.
... It's still food though.

But did he ever feel like a demon himself for it sometimes.*
We'll do all we can to ensure everyone gets the best they can out of this in the end. I promise, I have not forgotten those who are better off here than at home. I do not know how yet, but there is much for us to learn, still. We will do what we can with what we find.

I wish I could promise more certainty.

But I wouldn't anyway for this one.

As for bad plans... I dunno, is there anything stupider than a boycott, even with whatever good it did?
[Not that she'd know about it besides the collar fluid mess, she spent the rest of her 'help Diarmuid' day being carted into the infirmary.]

Probably. Don't tempt them. What's that saying? 'Build a better mousetrap, and they'll build a better idiot'?

[And it looks pretty sweet doing it too.]
So even if I wanted to do somethin' else I guess I'm just more made to do that anyway.
[And he doesn't seem to feel so bad about it.]
