Apologies, Assaults, and Coping With Outcomes

[The screen pops on, and the video feed shows Eiji sitting at the computer. Ankh's in the background, either pacing around, or just kicking it against a shelf, waiting for Eiji to do whatever dumb thing he's come here to do. He doesn't get why he had to come along...]

Greetings, everyone - my name is Hino Eiji. Back there--[He pauses to turn and find Ankh, then motions at him.]--is my friend, Ankh. In the last several days, it's come to my attention that a number of you have been victim to harassment by him, for which I would like to apologize - he's a fellow from a rather underdeveloped place, and he had a rather terrible upbringing which has resulted in his bad behavior--"

And now, Ankh cuts in - "What the hell are you telling them, idiot?!"

He has friends?

[It was more a question of surprise than anything else. And he felt bad for even asking the question. But honestly, Ankh had always come off as someone who didn't want or desire friends of any sort.]

While it's nice to apologize for him, I'm not sure it will make up for anything wrong he has done to people here.

Well. He might not return the thought, but I consider him a friend.

[Eiji nods, and looks a little dejected.] I know it's a hollow gesture coming from someone you don't know, but I still felt I should at least do that much. [Because there's no way in hell Ankh's going to apologize.]

If there's anything more I can do to help with something, or make some kind of amends, please let me know. [He bows at the screen now, quickly raising back up. It's something he's got into a habit of repeating, but the offer and the thought behind it is sincere.]

I suppose everyone needs a friend, even if they don't desire one.

[He didn't mean to make Eiji feel bad, it was a good gesture to offer some apology, or some explanation, but still.]

It's not hollow at all, you seem to genuinely feel bad for what he's done, it's only a shame Ankh could not share some of the sentiment.

[He's very polite, that's for sure, it's a nice change from Ankh needless to say.]

I should introduce myself, seeing as your friend happens to be a roommate of mine. Charles Xavier, it's a pleasure to meet you. [A slight bow of his head towards the screen in greeting.]

Likewise, Mr. Xavier - I am Hino Eiji. Ankh and I come from the same world, and have a bit of history. [He does sound slightly exasperated as he says that - he's rather used to having to clean up the messes Ankh makes.]
