[It hurt. Everything hurt. Existing alone ached and burned through what Labrys could only describe as her 'heart'. She'd been in a daze since dying to those shadows that whispered such horrible things--things that still echoed and bounced around in her head. Labrys heard the voices of her friends and sisters saying such cruel, hateful things and it hurt more than she could measure.]
[She wanted to forget. Forget like she'd forgotten before, when she had constructed the illusion of a human body and another life--a better life, just like any other student.]
[Exhausted, she dropped into a chair on floor ninety-six and leaned on the table in front of her, head resting on folded arms. Eventually, Labrys forgot why she'd been so tired and distraught in the first place.]
[...Then she forgot what she'd been doing the past few weeks.]
[After a while she forgot a great deal more, not the least of which being why she'd sat down in the first place. Was this not an inefficient use of time? Logic processors indicated this was not the Kirijo laboratory. Advisable course of action: find information. Standing, the robot girl somewhat stiffly walked until she encountered a terminal.]
[Her face was largely passive and expressionless, voice still holding its accent but utterly devoid of its usual life or energy.]
My sensors are indicatin' an unknown environment. Ain't sure if this is a new method of testin' capabilities. Unit number 031, requestin' and awaitin' orders.
[Oh, shit.]

Are new? Thought I've seen before...
[just in corridors in passing and such but still...]

[well you asked if she was new.]

[The worry and concern are clear on Diarmuid's face. When last he had seen her at Yukiko's meeting, she had seemed fine. He hadn't talked to her then because he was only observing the meeting to try and learn more about their worlds. Still, she had shown no signs of distress then. Now...
He's not even sure how to describe what she is acting like now. She's not so much distressed as she is...not herself. Unless of course, this is a new arrival, some other version of the girl who he called one of his adoptive daughters...]
Has something happened? What is the last thing you remember?

[Searching for 'Labrys' in database. Results indicate a symmetrical doubleheaded axe. Logic processors indicate addressing Unit #031 by this designation to be some form of 'metaphor'.
Beginning oral report of current memory databases:]
Hardware and software checks show a missing time period of unknown length between presence at the laboratory and presence here. Don't got any indication of current location or how I arrived.

[That's not good. An icy feeling forms in the pit of Diarmuid's stomach. Something is very wrong. It seems like she has lost a great deal of her memory, but how? There are so many questions he wants to ask, but he knows she isn't likely to know the answers to any of them...unless he is lucky enough to maybe spark something by giving her a little information.]
This is the Tower. We were brought here by a group of individuals we call the Administrators when our worlds were destroyed. Can you tell me where you remember waking up in the Tower? Were you in your room? On one of the floors?
[Diarmuid is pretty sure she isn't a new arrival. His gut just tells him this is the Labrys he knows with memory loss, but this will be a good way to confirm that.]

Labrys, are you alright?
[Well she's not but maybe he can gleam answers from her reply.]

That's... that's not what I asked.

[ There's an unpleasant sensation forming around Sertoria's heart, like it's being clenched by a hand. Her worries are confirmed when she starts speaking and she can only sigh. ]
...Are you operational, Labrys?
