Fourth Case [Anonymous Text - Backdated to 4th]
There is an issue that has been in my mind for quite a few months, people of Animus.
As you all know, our worlds were somehow destroyed and, somehow, we were ‘saved’ by our souls being brought here and inserted into hideous wireframe constructs. Supposedly, we are still alive, despite the fact that we were ripped from our own bodies. ‘Death’, in a matter of speaking, is not permanent – we are just give a new ‘body’ to inhabit. However, in less than a year, when the Glamour system runs out, we will truly ‘die’ and not come back.
Some of us, however, are working to restore our worlds and bring us back there. The administrators claim to be doing that themselves. Whether or not they truly mean to do that, I cannot tell.
Would you believe that such a feat is truly possible, however, considering our own conditions and that of our worlds? Do you think that, somehow, the administrators can bring our worlds back so that we can return home? Or do you believe that we can find a way ourselves and stop the administrators before our time runs out next year?
Suffice to say, I am very doubtful of this idea, considering its sheer absurdity. However, as this entire tower is full of things that completely contradict proper logic, I am not sure if I can completely disregard it.

[Very, very locked text. 7/7 DONE. FINALLY.]
I must say that I am impressed by that deduction, Diarmuid. As loathe as I am to admit it.
[Locked Text]
It's really no great deduction, Edgeworth. You're my roommate. I would like to think you are also my friend. If I can't recognize your way of speaking, then I am doing something wrong.
[Locked text]
To Edgeworth, Diarmuid had always seemed to be a trustworthy individual - if a little irritating at times. Still, are they technically friends? Well, maybe.....maybe not. Edgeworth has to think about that one.
Anyway...]
Is my way of speaking really that unique?
[Note to self: The next time he makes these anon posts, either filter them from this guy or type like those morons he had encountered while poking around on Steel Samurai forums. Preferably the former.]
[Locked text]
We...should talk about what happened.
[Locked text]
I suppose you are not going to give me a choice, are you?
[Locked text]
...
If you wish to yell at me for failing you, just do so and get it over with. You will feel better.
[Locked text]
Yell at you for failing me? Where did you get that absurd notion from?
[Locked text]
[Locked text]
.....Good thing this is all typed.]
What could you have done? There were too many of those things and we were both surrounded.
[Locked text]
[It's not something that can be shown by text, but Diarmuid is angry...at himself...and the keys on the terminal keyboard are paying the price as he hits them harder than he should.]
[Locked text]
Unless you were lollygagging about when I was in trouble, which you weren't.
If there is someone who needs to take the blame for what has happened, then it would have to be me. I was the one who let myself get distracted, forgot the time and put us both in danger. For that, I am sorry.
[Locked text]
[Diarmuid pauses in his typing here and takes a deep breath. As much as he wants to argue this point, being so angry isn't going to get them anywhere.]
My brother and I have been in this situation before. Something happens and we each blame ourselves for it. In the end, though, that does no one any good. We came to the conclusion that we should stop blaming each other and blame the Tower and the Administrators instead. After all, if it wasn't for them, you wouldn't have been out so late and would wouldn't have to worry about monsters to begin with.
[Locked text]
That said, I certainly agree that the Administrators are ultimately at fault. I will do my best to help everyone else uncover the truth as much as possible. And to help ensure that our 'hosts' get their just desserts.
If that is possible, that is. [He would certainly not want to kill Jason and Ruana and would take no part in such a plan. Still, you can't put these guys in prison...]
[Locked text]
[If text can have a questioning tone, this text certainly does.]
I thought you were angry and that is why you haven't been around. Was I incorrect?
...
We will find a way to make them pay, Edgeworth. Don't doubt that. It only wastes energy better spent on finding the way.
Re: [Locked text] 1/2
Look, if it appeared that I was deliberately avoiding you, then I am sorry. The truth is that I need some time to myself to think things through. Don’t take it personally.
[Locked text] 2/2
You think there might be a way to stop our 'hosts'? We cannot exactly bring them to court.
[Locked text]
I understand.
I realize that you are not likely to agree with me on this since we come from places that view justice in vastly different ways, but the courtroom in not always the proper place to deal with people. Some wrongs must be righted in a more...personal way. Death is not always the answer either. Some find a joy in that. I am not sure yet the best way for us to deal with the Administrators, but I am sure we will find the appropriate ways for each of them.
[Locked text]
Bringing them to court would be impossible, anyway.
The only thing I know we can do for the present is keep finding the truth.
[Although he is starting to question more about what happens afterwards.]

Well, I hope your optimism does not go to waste. For your sake and everyone else's.
