[It's Lorelei! He looks a little tired, but otherwise perfectly fine.]
I apologize for my absence this past while. It seems our population has grown since I last poked about on the network, so hello to everyone. You may call me Lorelei. I am not in spite of appearances actually Luke or Asch, they're me. It's complicated.
[And he seems to think it's funny by the way he's grinning.]
At any rate, I am hoping for an idea of what I missed, as some digging about has led me to think some significant things have happened lately! Also, for those living in room ...2-08, I believe, you do in fact have another roommate, I've just been absent a while. Hello, I look forward to meeting you all.

[Besides, he likes talking to people.]
It does seem so, yes. Other worlds don't even have fonons.

... No. We have atoms.
[Atoms. He's heard of those.]
Are there many more than seven sorts of atoms?
There are, though if we're talking limited elements... there are some classic systems that had much fewer. Earth, fire, water, and air are the most common across all of them.
that moment when you realize you never responded omg
[He hums thoughtfully.]
I wonder if in those cases fire, earth, water and the like are unique unto themselves, or still combined with other things. I know in most places there are things like iron atoms floating about in the earth, and probably all the other minerals too. So many to keep track of..
It's okay. <3
There's nothing like a pure 'fire' atom, though. Not according to modern science at least.
no subject
[Maybe they had an explanation for it! Maybe they just didn't know. He wasn't sure himself what a plant might be made out of.]
No, I imagine not. For most places it's probably just the result of very intense heat, and thus anything that burns would be the source, not just a given atom? Likewise probably light..
