[He feels slightly foolish asking questions, but how else will he learn anything. The voice had been that of a child, and that worried him more than anything, that it could be a child. But then it was so strange... it could be something else. Who knew.]

He's good at finding things, but his willingness to help depends to a great extent on who's asking, why, and what it will demand from him. If it were really a lost child... his situation is such that generosity is not his first impulse, but in that circumstance, he might make an effort. This, though, seems like smoke and mirrors meant to prompt some kind of response--fear is his first guess--from the Tower's residents. Transparent manipulation of that kind irritates him, especially when he's on the receiving end of it.]
