[The fear is absolute as it becomes evident this was... actually going to be it. For all his smarts and for all his determination, he was going to die here in the bowels of this tower.

But more than frightened, he is fucking furious. How dare this be it? He had worked so hard to advance them towards the future everyone said was impossible, and he had been so patient. For what..?

He doesn't realise it, but he lets out a wordless howl of disbelief and fury, throat raw as the cry got cut off with far too much abruptness. Everything goes very black very quickly, and with a final horrendous crack... his skull is concave and he's very dead from being smeared all over the walls.]
