Chipped, like behavioral modification chipped? Noooo, not that I've seen. We weren't ever chipped, just collars. Which seem to do a grand total of nothing in a very suspicious manner.

--Oh, no no! It doesn't nullify anything. Some of the stuff in the tower is impervious to abilities, or will take them away if you get too close? Like, no jumping off the roof, seriously. Flying is a no go. But I haven't had any trouble using my magic otherwise.
