[WHACK. Hitting the computer activates the video function. Glaring at the screen is a tan-skinned man with pointed ears, a lovely gin-blossom nose, sunken eyes, and... green hair. And he's already changed out of that weird jumpsuit and into his normal clothes. The top of his orange collar is barely visible over his red cravat.

He narrows his eyes at the screen, then down at the keyboard]

Blasted... typewriter! What kind of contraption is this! Where's the paper?! Cursed LIARS, telling me I could communicate with people using this thing!

[and now he's shaking the computer. Or trying to]

HEY!! TELL ME HOW TO GET BACK, YOU INFERNAL MACHINE!! Put me back on my ship right this instant!

The Koroks? He's one of them! 'S why he's... kind of small.

[He doesn't like being called short, either - but he's not going to get into that. Just... look mildly annoyed.]

[he snaps his fingers] Koroks! I totally knew that! [no he didn't. All he knows is that tiny little leaf people live on that island with the big tree] Well he probably doesn't weigh too much, at least.

Oh, no... it was just really easy to lose him.

[So tiny, in such a big temple... And he got lost to a Floormaster too. Damn floor hands.]

Well, you must have made it through. Besides, how hard can it be? Someone goes through and leaves maps in all those places, or so I hear. [because somehow, SOME WAY, Link always came back to the ship with a map of the temple in tow... where did they come from?!]

Well, of course I made it through.

[He... revived the Master Sword, after all.]

But, um... it was actually pretty hard... there were a lot of Floormasters. In both temples...

[He really hates them. A lot.]

That doesn't sound too scary.

We never ran into'em?

They're big, phantom hands that shoot out of ... voidy things in the ground! They're really tall too - a lot taller than you are.

They pick you up by your head and drag you into their voidy thing, and you wake up in a whole other part of the temple.

[He's even demonstrating how they act by waving one of his little arms in the air, hand bent forward like a Floormaster.]

It's really the noises they make that bug me. They scream a lot, and make a lot of high sounds that hurt my ears.

No sir. Don't recall anything called a "Floormaster". [granted he never went into the temples... or much further than the boat... eheheh]

[... oh god that sounds horrifying. Linebeck pales] ... I have decided I do not like them, either. But at least they spit you out, eventually... instead of keeping you in the, ahem, "voidy thing".

Yeah, I guess... I'm really glad they're not here, either.
Imagine if they threw you onto one of the really bad floors!

[Well, that sure would suck.]

But, um... I guess they're not too bad. The monsters here get a lot worse, actually...
But they're not too hard to get away from, at least!

Yeah, let's talk about the monsters here, kid. Are they slow? Easily distracted? C'mon kid, details, details! But not really explicit details! My uh... my heart! It's kind of fluttery. I'm sure it's just a side effect of being transported through space and time.

[You're really hard pressed for details, huh?]

Uh... they're all really different from each other, Linebeck.
Some of them are really fast, some of them are kind of slow...

Um. I guess, just don't go around at night! That's when a lot of them come out. But during the day it's not too bad.

Oh, and um... the shadow-y monsters are the really, really dangerous ones.

[He... has no other way to describe them, unfortunately.]

[details! They keep him alive!]

Well I sleep at night, so I guess that's pretty convenient.

Shadow... monsters?

Mhm. Shadowy monsters. Big, black, ugly things that all look different. I'm not sure if they're actually different monsters or not, though...
But there's a lot of'em at night, but there are some during the day!

The ones that drip everywhere are kinda harmless, though. Don't even do a thing!

[Except, you know, turn into a mangled form of you at night and try to murder you. But he doesn't know that.]

Uh... huh.

.... I better get started looking for the exit.

Well, um... a lot of people have tried, and even I can't find one...

But good luck, I guess.

It'll be really hard.

Kid, you're talking to the Great Sea's foremost treasure hunter! I'll treat the way out like a treasure to be found! Ha! I even have not one, but THREE vials of blue chu jelly. You know you're impressed. [fufufufu]

I've had a lot of blue chu jelly before, though...

[He had to get like... tons of it to get a bottle of blue potion.]

But that is really neat, Linebeck! Blue chuchus are hard to fight!

A... lot? Well how much is "a lot"?

[because he definitely just looted some half dead chus, just saying]

Well, I had enough to make a couple bottles of chu potion...

So, um. A lot?

[He's not really sure how much is a lot?? He just stuck it in his bag after all.
Which, in retrospect, isn't very sanitary.]

[the captain sighs and deflates... Blue Chu Jelly is one of his most prized treasures! It's rare! And expensive!]

I guess I should have expected that... you just beat me at everything, kid. [he straightens up and fixes his cravat] When you grow up, you'll be a hell of a sailor and treasure hunter!

Oh... hehe. They weren't hard to find, Captain Linebeck!
You know what; I'll try and remember to help you out with stuff like that a lot whenever I get to go home and have those adventures with you!

[Hey, if he's going to be a hell of a treasure hunter, it would be unfair to not help out, right?]

Well of course! That's one of the things ya helped me with, kid! Apparently those old dusty dungeons and temples are just full of treasures. Pearls, skulls, gold, gems! Stuff to sell. Helped keep the Linebeck in ship-shape. Paid for stuff like a cannon, too. Goddesses, that was expensive... but you can't beat it for squid-shootin'.

Kind of like the cannon the King had, I bet! I fought a lot of Big Octos with a cannon when I was adventuring by myself.

[... Oh - ]

Hey, Linebeck; you said you like treasure and stuff, right? Want to see a treasure I got from one of my friends?
It's really neat!

Mmhmm. I gotta say, it was a good investment. Before I had to sail pretty far out of my way to avoid those buggers. Now I can just blow them up! It's very relaxing.

[so expensive... and yet.... so worth it.]

Hm? Well, sure. If you'll show it to me. [which... he's sure you will. Since you GAVE HIM magic bracelets]

[He just really likes showing this thing off, so of course he's gonna show it to Linebeck!

He reaches into the collar of his tunic though, pulling out the Golden Scale that the Hero of Time gifted him, his smile bright and wide.]

This is a Golden Scale - it helps me swim a lot better than normal! I can dive for a really long time, it's great!
It's really important to me, too - I got it from a really close friend.
