[WHACK. Hitting the computer activates the video function. Glaring at the screen is a tan-skinned man with pointed ears, a lovely gin-blossom nose, sunken eyes, and... green hair. And he's already changed out of that weird jumpsuit and into his normal clothes. The top of his orange collar is barely visible over his red cravat.
He narrows his eyes at the screen, then down at the keyboard]
Blasted... typewriter! What kind of contraption is this! Where's the paper?! Cursed LIARS, telling me I could communicate with people using this thing!
[and now he's shaking the computer. Or trying to]
HEY!! TELL ME HOW TO GET BACK, YOU INFERNAL MACHINE!! Put me back on my ship right this instant!

... Ah - that reminds me, Mister Linebeck. If you need my help, you can always ask me, alright? You don't seem to be armed, after all.
[She's cool with being a hero. It's kind of her job.]
[video]
Ah, well, that sure is kind of ya, but I think I'll be fine. Kid -- Link -- he gave me a gift to help me out. But hey, no reason why I can't keep a pretty lady in mind!
[video]
This place is very dangerous. Even what would be normal animals become vicious and phantom like, should you stay too long on their floor.
But I'm sure you can handle yourself, yes?
[Not... going to comment about Link. That's a bad name for her right now.]
[video]
Y-yeah. Of course. I'm a sailor! I'm used to... such things! Ha!
.... But just in case, which floors are the worst?
[video]
[Prepare for some
tl;drrambling, Linebeck. At least it's really pretty rambling?]There is a floor that contains a whole forest within its walls - do not stray far from the staircase, should you find yourself there. The animals will not hesitate to attack.
The room with walls of water is certainly beautiful during the day, but during the night, its waters are filled with terrible beasts who insist on attempting to consume you.
And, while not populated by monsters, there is a floor that contains an endless void within it. ... Please watch your step, there.
... If you come find me beforehand, I would not mind escorting you about the tower, should you need it. But you are used to such things, as you've said.
[That might have been teasing. Maybe.]
[video]
[from his coat, Linebeck withdraws a well-worn leather notebook, a pen, and some ink. He scribbles as she speaks, making notes.
Forest with evil animals, water walls with monsters, endless void floor....]
... Goddesses. All of that in ONE tower? What kind of madness is this!
[video]
But my offer of protection still stands.
[She's only pushing it because... well. You look like you'd be pretty thin under that huge coat, Linebeck. Like a twig, almost.]
[video]
... I'll keep it in mind.
[he is! TWIG MAN!]
[video]
[He really, really looks like he needs to relax and kick back for a while, seriously.]
[video]
[he sighs. YEP. This has been a long day.]
[video]
If you meet me by the staircase, I can show you.
[video] --> action!
[because he's going to grab his knife and comb his hair and make sure his BREATH SMELLS NICE... ha! Ok. Off to the staircase]
action; LMAO LINEBECK....
... He's shorter in person.]
Hello, Mister Linebeck. Are you ready to go?
action; LOOKIN SUAVE....
But even raggedy, she's beautiful. Ooodshdashjdhas]
Ahem. Yeah. I am. Let's go see this relaxing place.
action; he is the suavest
But either way; she's going to lead him to the meadow floor; her favorite place in the tower.]
This floor reminds me of my home. Not as much as the floor with the forest, but that place is much too dangerous to relax in, sadly.
But this place has never seen hide nor hair of a monster, and it's beautiful.
action; such a manly man also let me know if the ceiling doesn't look like that
He takes in a deep breath and wow... it smells nice. A field of flowers on a sunny day , fresh and clean. He may be a man of the sea, but he can appreciate a good spit of land, too.]
I half expect to see some fluffy bunnies bounding across the field. The air sure is fresh here.
action; honestly I have no clue what the ceiling's like there
This all goes through her mind pretty quickly though, and she nods at what he says.]
It makes a great place to get away if the tower is too much.
I have been tempted to bring my bedding here instead of leaving it in my room, it's very nice.
[... S-should she hook arms with him though -]
action; well let's say it's hologrammed to be a SUNNY SKY why not
I might be spending a lot of time here. As long as it doesn't aggravate my allergies. [he gives that red nose of his a rub] Thanks. For uh... showin' me this.
action; SURE that makes as much sense as any
Perhaps you and I could have a picnic together, sometime; here in this meadow.
[She can't help giving him a little bow as she speaks, mostly to be polite.]
action;
[he frowns at that bow] Oh come on now, you don't have to bow to me.
action;
But... I have never seen the ocean before. The most I have seen was the Zora's domain...
[She hasn't even visited Lake Hylia, yet. 8|a]
I'll have to take your word for it. You seem to have an eye for things such as that, after all.
[That. Might have been teasing for calling her beautiful, earlier.]
action;
Well, lakes and such are nice, but they don't have a thing on the sea. Ah well. Maybe one day, when we get out of here.
action;
And whether you are "just a salty seadog" or not, it's still polite...
But I won't anymore, if you feel I shouldn't.
[Because... doing something when asked not to is rude, right? 8|]
You'll have to forgive me, though. I am... not quite used to social customs just yet.
[Except Kokiri ones, whoops.]
action;
It makes me feel weird!
Hm? Why's that?
