[When the video turns on, the figure is clearly frustrated and distrustful, if not looking very exhausted. Honey-colored eyes are dulled and strained, her skin a ghostly shade of pale, a single bandage pressing against the right side of her cheek. Fingers grasp at the top of the note she had been reading, lips pulling in a frown.]

This can’t be right and it isn’t funny. I’m in no mood for jokes right now, so I demand an explanation for this.

[Lowering the note beside her on the bed, Elena gently rubbed at the side of her head, giving a slight wince. She had been under constant watch for the last 48 hours, being pumped full of Cure and Restore to mend internal and external injuries. But clearly she wasn’t entirely healed, which earned a frown.]

Also, what was with the paralysis? Did somebody drug me while I was sleeping to perform a relocation? This isn’t the room I was in last…

Beneath the uniform, her heart is hammering in her chest, adrenaline coursing, panic on the verge of completely taking over. Odin help her, she had been hoping she'd never have to come across one of them - be it the original or a remnant.]

[Her words are something between a question and a statement, mind trying desperately to maintain some semblance of control.]

[Sephiroth's only outward reaction was the quirking of his left eyebrow, expression settling into saturnine.]

[C'mon, Elena. Just calm down and breathe. She pauses, taking a few slower, deep breaths, before continuing.]

[The fact that he hasn't gone off on any sort of psycho-babble about being the 'chosen one' and Jenova helps calm her rapid heartbeat, the thundering in her ears ebbing as she attempts to get a better feel on his current state of mind.]

[One could say what one would about the Turks, but even Sephiroth had to admit that both Veld and Tseng ran a tight ship. It was heartening to see the girl get hold of herself, forcing professionalism to the forefront. He approved.]

Indeed. The collar you wear provides substances vital to survival here in this place, apparently were it removed, we would die. There are dormitories located on the marked floors which house the Tower residents, the other floors...examine at your own risk.

It is recommended to remain on the dorm floors during night hours, as hostiles roam the hallways and attack at random. I highly recommend rendezvousing with your teammates as soon as possible; survival depends on cooperation and willingness to work together.

I take it any attempts to remove the collar have ended poorly, then. I wonder why they - whoever brought us here - felt the need to put them on us.

[My, wasn't he a plethora of information - clearly he had done some investigating as well. If memory served, he was quite the SOLIDER before the whole Jenova incident.]

You mentioned hostiles - what sort are we dealing with? Elemental creatures, mechanical robots?

A variety, from what we've seen. There is doubtless a compiled list of enemies encountered made by those who have been in residence longer. [A brief glint flashed in green eyes.] A good place to start, I should think.

Both Zack Fair and Cadet--[A disgruntled pause]--Cloud Strife are here, as well Professor Hojo. [To his credit, the General didn't bite off the man's name.] I advise caution around the latter.

I would be surprised if somebody had not taken the initiative to make one. I'll see what I can dredge up.

[Elena visibly shifts, eyes looking away from the camera for a brief moment - that slight change in his gaze sitting heavy in her stomach. Composure still intact, her attention returned to the screen, an eyebrow lifting.]

I've been contacted by Cloud, but I didn't know that Zack Fair or the Professor was here. [There's a sardonic grin pulling at her mouth.] Your advice is welcomed, but not needed. I'm very aware of the Professor's hobbies and I know very well to steer clear of him, but thank you.

Yes, but only with the bare minimum. And I'm hard-pressed to think that I'll find spare ammunition here.

Although when you've the chance, make contact with Doctor Brown. He's proven most valuable when it comes to weapons and armaments. Or his assistant, Marty.

I was afraid of that. But I'll take your advice and see Doctor Brown. I'll be curious to see what he is able to come up with.
