_{[When Dirk awakens and can't move at first, he finds himself panicking. This isn't something that normally happens, so it's a huge relief when he actually is able to move. Immediately, he's able to tell he's not where he should be. His memory is a little hazy due to the fact he's still waking up, but he knows that the last thing he was doing, which certainly wasn't sleeping. Who could sleep when their home was under attack?

The letters he finds answers a few of the initial questions he has, but it leaves a billion more unanswered. His world was destroyed? Given the state it was in, he isn't surprised, but he was supposed to get into the game first. He's pretty sure this isn't it. This is horribly disconcerting, because he can't help but wonder about his friends. Did they make it to safety? Are they here?

After another few moments, he's aware he's not the only person in the room either. Well then.]}

I'm not entirely sure what is going here, so perhaps someone can shed some light on this situation.
How is it that I've arrived here?
I'm finding the information provided by the welcoming committee highly doubtful for a multitude of reasons that I don't have time to get into at this time.
With that, I'll cut to the chase; in the off-chance that it's actually correct, that my world was destroyed, I must ask.
Does anyone know Roxy Lalonde, Jake English, Jane Crocker and their whereabouts?

i don't really want to talk about it at all, but if you're gonna go around asking I guarantee there's at least someone who's worse off than me who you'll just make feel worse. I'm doing a favor for them.

Last month the main tower's power and food supplies were all cut until just yesterday, and a lot of people were took to these.. pod things, and put in three groups. The admins were holding this contest, to see which one could run things best.

How long have you been here? Surely there is a way out; there is no reason to be subjected to this.
I mean, it's ridiculous this goes on at all. This sort of madness rivals the end of humanity. Sort of, anyway.
The population here can't near as large as it was when everything started happening a couple centuries ago.
Regardless, this is ridiculous and I won't have it.
I won't mention this to the other inhabitants for their sakes, but in all seriousness I will find a way to end this.

the guy that wants everybody to be his lab rats is named Jason. he's the smarmy guy with a shaved haircut. a while ago, he did this cutesy little Q&A over here, though hell if i trust anything he said. basically, how i think it goes is there's a different dude in charge month to month, and the months he's in charge...

He sounds like he to be brought down a peg or two. Do you know what his strengths and weaknesses are? Perhaps that can work to our advantage.
I need to gather as much information as I can find. The problem with the Q&A is that it would be foolish to discredit everything he said and even more idiotic to believe all of it.
Perhaps the truth is somewhere in the middle. If that's the case it'll be a start for planning the appropriate course of action.
While causing as much commotion as possible might seem like a good thing, it'd be better to launch a swift attack and try to bring them all down at once.

..he and the other admins were hoppin' to it pretty fast when this new girl bossed them around - she was the one running the contest. i think she's.. on a higher level than jason, at least, because i did something and she slapped him over it and later he showed up pretty messed up looking. and boy, was he mad!

But yes, you're right. If he can be provoked, it implies a number of other things as well.
Particularly that he has weaknesses. If we can exploit them, we'll be golden.

well, lessee. she's really off-putting and bubbly and has blond hair, and wore a lot of different outfits from when we saw her one time to the next. like she thought she was some kinda model, i guess.
