[ Sasori has always been good with his hands. Very, very good, really (as much as is expected of an artist). Unfortunately, he is what one might refer to as 'old school'. Computers and such technology as he was staring at at the moment were rare to come by in Sunagakure.

He had never really operated a computer, unless it was one of those machines that had a big red button which read POWER or DO NOT PRESS, their functions obvious.

Whatever he was staring at right now, though, intrigued him. He could see hiragana scattered all over the keyboard, and bits of kanji, but-- ]

...Where are the remaining five thousand odd kanji?

[ Ridiculous. Where was the rest of this machinery that had the remaining alphabet?

And in trying to figure out what it did, Sasori presses a few buttons experimentally. ]

[ Which is when he presses something and it starts recording him... Sasori notices this and stares at the screen, continuing to press all the keys while staring at the screen, wondering if pressing anything will do something. Like-- Stop recording him?

[ The corners of Sasori's mouth twitch at that. Well now, the other person had the upper hand in that he knew quite a bit about his future and recent-past actions. But it would only be an advantage if Sasori did get to go back to his world. For now, that knowledge was probably not pertinent. The weapons he had were different, he himself was different... It was only a matter of time before he chose to evolve into something else. New ideas, new muses-- The future wasn't set in stone. ]

I would, wouldn't I?

[ And if the mention of such a future were meant to scare Sasori, then it wasn't entirely working. The puppet master only chuckles, slightly amused at the attempt to threaten. And since when did he give a damn about his 'partners' or 'comrades'?

Sasori shrugs ever so slightly at the news. ] His loss.

[ As to what he might do to the person who agreed to show up to help him: ] Perhaps. [ Take 'discard' whichever way you wanted to. ]

I was actually thinking of the song "Holding Out For A Hero" but I like the Iglesias one a lot too!

[Fear hadn’t been his intention – not at all. The only thing the Akatsuki might have feared was failure, and even then, they would have just found another way to obtain success. It would be a waste of time and energy to try and instill that emotion in their kind.

Apathetic, just as Sakura had told him, Gaara mused to himself. He still didn’t understand why Sasori had allowed himself to be killed – if that was what really happened – when he had no emotions to be burdened with.

He just shrugged slightly. Back at the facility, he acted more like a defender of justice, but here, things were different. He was no longer who he thought he was. He didn’t have the same responsibilities as before. He was… He couldn’t answer that question yet. Once again, he would need to figure out his own identity, before someone else tried to lead him astray.]
