[After the...last time he was on the network, Roxas isn't exactly eager to stick his face on it again. But he still wanted to offer something, so he accepted voice begrudgingly. There was an awkward few seconds of silence before he began speaking.]

Uh, hey. It's Roxas. I just wanted to ask something to everyone at large...

[A pause, and he gave a loud sigh.]

I've been keeping a journal, and I realized I've almost been here for a year. Who else is around who's been here that long? I'm...thinking of making a cake.

[Okay, so that was partially sarcasm, but-]

At least that way, we'll have something positive for the occasion, instead of just the usual stuff. I just, need help making it. I've never made a cake before.

[...of course, he also was planning on trying to shove it in the suggestion box, or the red-collar elevator, or something...but there wasn't a need to mention that part out loud.]

Good. I don't want to have a full-blown party...I think someone's already throwing one. But I just want to be able to do something.

...do you...know how to make ice-cream cake, by any chance?

Assuming we have the suitable materials, it should be simple enough to make.

[And hopefully they did. Then again, there was enough material for desserts, so an ice-cream cake shouldn't be all that hard.]

It's not that bad, Sayaka. It's sort of like a...birthday, too, I guess. I'm a year older.

[There was a noticeable delay in his response, mostly because he didn't want to sound awkward when he responded. It bothered him that he felt that way at all, so he at least owed her a proper tone.]

Yeah. It's been rough, and I've had a few ugly periods- [...Roxas, you tried to drown yourself.] -but I think I'm getting better at handling everything.

I know I've managed to get in to the kitchen area in the cafeteria before, but the ovens are a little...weird. I'm not sure how to use them when they're that big...

A YEAR?! That's crazy! Guess I was wrong to think I was going home next week...
