[After the...last time he was on the network, Roxas isn't exactly eager to stick his face on it again. But he still wanted to offer something, so he accepted voice begrudgingly. There was an awkward few seconds of silence before he began speaking.]

Uh, hey. It's Roxas. I just wanted to ask something to everyone at large...

[A pause, and he gave a loud sigh.]

I've been keeping a journal, and I realized I've almost been here for a year. Who else is around who's been here that long? I'm...thinking of making a cake.

[Okay, so that was partially sarcasm, but-]

At least that way, we'll have something positive for the occasion, instead of just the usual stuff. I just, need help making it. I've never made a cake before.

[...of course, he also was planning on trying to shove it in the suggestion box, or the red-collar elevator, or something...but there wasn't a need to mention that part out loud.]

You know what you're talking about, and I wouldn't feel as...awkward learning it from you like I would from Aqua. I like her, but I feel like I have to be formal or something when it comes to...keyblade stuff. I'd be more comfortable learning from you. At least I know I can make fun of you if you make fun of me, you know?

[It was probably because he grew up with her and she used to kind of baby him, but he just kind of has a really perplexed look when he talks about being formal with Aqua.]

I... I guess? [SUPER UNSURE FACE!!] You have to get the Mark of Mastery before you're really supposed to pass on your skills. It shows that you understand and that you're capable enough to pass on the wisdom you've cultivated. I never got a chance to take my exam before coming here.

[He doesn't usually mind breaking rules, but this Tradition stuff was kind of a big deal to him! But then things were getting more dangerous and Roxas really didn't know this stuff...] But I... guess it's OK if it's just the basics?

How do you even get that? Is there like a, school for this where you come from? I wish they had that on Twilight Town.

[It's only been vaguely explained to him, and he can't picture someone going in to a building and studying "how to hit things".]

Great! [FISTPUMP OF SUCCESS.] I'm still trying to learn magic with Aqua, so this will make it easier for everyone I think. You'll really be prepared to take an exam if you've already figured out how to teach people things, right?

It's more an apprenticeship instead of a school; a Master takes on a few pupils that they teach. We all lived together in the Land of Departure, so I guess it's sort of like private boarding school.

But to take the Mark of Mastery exam, you need at least two presiding Masters. Aqua's here, and she's a Master but... the only other one here is Master Xehanort. [You should be able to tell by that frown on his face that it would be a horrible idea.]

So I'm not really banking on being able to take it any time soon. I guess that just means more time to teach you though!

Maybe someone passed it down to you and you don't remember. I've also heard stories about the Keyblade chosing its own master in times of peril.

Considering I can't remember much of anything...

There's not really much; like I said, just stories. Usually the ability to wield a Keyblade is passed down from Master to Apprentice, but the Keyblade isn't just a weapon; it's sort of a sentient force on its own. Supposedly if the World is in danger, it can chose someone who's strong of Heart to wield it in order to save people from the Darkness.

I heard those stories a long time ago though, so I don't know if it's true.

I never even heard of a keyblade before all this.

[But okay time to listen intently to STORIES. And boy is he actually being visibly attentive 'cos eff yeah he loves mysteries and stories and myths and stuff like that. If he had a history lesson he would be so happy.]

Wait, this thing's alive? [He glanced down at kingdom key, which was laid out across his lap. Aaawk.] I don't think I'm strong of anything, but it did only appear when I got attacked by those gray noodly things. That's when things started going wrong all over my world, but nobody else seemed to realize it. How does something even steal a word, anyway?

[He's still a touch bitter about how his bros didn't believe or trust him, okay. Not that...he really tried to explain it in detail 'cos they gave him The Look, but...] But, unless the heartless or the noodly monsters are what you guys fight, I don't think it's the same thing, anyway.

Kind of. Not like you and me, but it sort of has its own way of doing things. [more It's Complicated on KHBook.]

Gray noodly monsters..? [He has no idea how that even works, or how it steals words, so.] I don't know what those are, but Heartless are creatures from the Realm of Darkness; they never bothered us that much, but I'm sure Keybearers in the past have had to deal with them.

[Or you know, the future.]

Different aspects I guess? Light, Darkness, Heart, Soul, Skill Strength.... I dunno, stuff like that.

Uh... [Something he's strong in? ...yeah, he can't agree to any of these, really. Hayner's stronger, Pence is more skillful, Olette is ~~strong in the ways of the homework~~ more of a soul person than he is, given her ability to keep their dumb butts in gear...and he still doesn't get all this light dark stuff.] There's nothing I'm really strong in, in general. There were better people back home for all that stuff.

[S I G H] ...whatever. I'm tempted to say that someone just gave it to me when I couldn't remember and leave it at that.
