..So we're kinda in a crisis situation here!

Cuz of that, I figured we should... try to do a status report kind of thing! The top levels got totaled, and I know monsters had pretty much taken over a few other floors in mobs when I was last there.

I'd... like to ask you guys to report anyone you know is dead. Since the dorms are gone, I... don't think anyone's coming back that way for a while.

Don't go out of your way to find this stuff out, just.. stick with what you're doing already! That's good enough.

As long as we can keep the cafeteria, we still have something.

[Zack has something that lets him heal, but it does little in terms of exhaustion or things like that. It's just good at healing injuries. Which is, of course, a welcome thing in this mess.]

I hope so. Not that one guy fighting off that many monsters is gonna make much difference, but...[shrug and a half smile.] I guess it is a lot better than getting hurt trying to find out how many we lost.

At least they didn't cut the power this time. Can you imagine fighting all these things in the dark?

Every bit's gonna help. Especially if we coordinate it. Barricades could work, right?

Right. And we've got enough rubble to make 'em work, too. So long as we can get 'em built, they should help.

[He blinks, hearing the strain, but he tilts his head.]

Well, they could, but...I dunno if they would. Wouldn't put it past 'em, though.

Cool! Spread the word about making them - there's probably not gonna be much of anybody checking the network right now, so once I'm done here I'm going out myself.

..and if you see anyone going into the high floors, tell them no or they'll be stuck. Scraping together another idea to blow up the stairs.

You got it. I'll see what I can drag downstairs, too.

I'll tell 'em, but are you sure that's a good idea? I'm no builder or anything, but if the stairs are supporting the upper floors, wouldn't blowing them up bring them down on us? We've got enough to worry about without getting crushed to death.

...who even knows if we can really destroy them, but breaking them up some will slow them down, right? What would you say to do, just stick to barricading?

Yeah, I think that'd work better than trying to take out the stairs. We could put more and more barricades up, and have people guarding the ones closer to the cafeteria. Have 'em take shifts so nobody's watching alone and stuff. It's how they guard military camps, and they always teach you to never take out anything that might turn into an exit route.

So basically, get a legit base going on down there... I'm not used to setting this kinda stuff up, so - you seem to know about it, can I leave it to you to get this together?

[Zack is hesitant to say yes. There are other people better qualified for this than he is, but...well. He has to do something and fighting isn't so much as making a dent, so he'll just sigh and nod even through she can't see it.]
