My honest answer? I wanted to know if it was a single case of one human thinking I was a monster, or whether it was true of all humans. The words that person used and the things they accused me of doing were so awful that even if I'd never, ever do such a thing, it made me wonder if that's actually what people thought.

If everyone's opinion of me was the same as his, then it would matter very much. If this was one person, then no, it wouldn't matter so much.
