Hello. It's... ah. It's Genda again.
I just want to thank those of you who helped reassure Feferi of herself and stood up for her over the network not long ago.
Seeing so many people stop to cheer up someone I hold dear made my view of this place brighten, if only a little.
So thank you.
... And if the man who said those terrible things to her happens to be watching the network: Feferi and her kind are not monsters.
They're the farthest thing from monsters - even though they are different on the outside, they're people just like us on the inside.
What's on the outside doesn't matter, especially in a place like this.

Also he's not using text srry. Gamzee doesn't get his kawaii emotes and terrible typing skills.]
The thanks extends to you as well - I saw you wanting to stand up for Feferi, too.
look at this anon with his lucida console WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS
Thank you.
hahah equius just made it obvious he's one of the trolls
You're quite welcome, though.
[don't be anon, new friend, he wants to meet you for real --]
they just got done talking about the trolls everywhere this is not a problem
... oh true
I guess you could say we're an item.
Together, you know?
[H-he doesn't know about troll romance yet, and he's not sure if there's another term for it, so...]

Congratulations.

Ah, thank you.

Which quadrant?
no subject
She never mentioned quadrants before.
[Oh shit son, time for the next lesson on troll culture -]

[p-please don't think lowly of him, anontroll --]
Honestly though, if she never brought it up with me, she must feel it's not something I need to know.
here comes the teal deer train! choo choo!
I will explain.
Troll society has four quadrants of relationship value; matespritship, moirallegiance, kismessitude, and auspiticism. The first two are 'redrom', the last two are 'blackrom'. They are represented by those colors. Matespritship and kismessitude are more intense shades of the color, bright red (flushed) and pure black (caliginous), whereas moirallegiance and auspiticism are pink (pale) and grey (ashen), respectively.
Matespritship is represented by this symbol: <3. For two trolls to be matesprits they simply must have a mutual feeling of attraction towards one another that are not pale in nature.
Moirallegiance is represented by this symbol: <>. It is believed by some that every troll has a fated moirail that they will find somewhere in the world. A moirail's duty is pacifistic; each member of a moirallegiance must help the other troll overcome their shortcomings, while also being open to the other troll's attempts to help them. The definition of 'shortcomings' depends on the troll, but it is usually emotional.
Kismessitude is represented by this symbol: <3<. A kismesis, for a troll, is like a rivalry taken to extremes; the trolls in question will not like one another at all, but will still be physically and mentally attracted.
Auspiticism is represented by this symbol: c3<. This is the only relationship with three individuals involved, but only the third is called an auspitice; the other two have no specific name. They are a third influence that act as facilitator between two quarreling parties, monitoring their interactions and mediating when necessary. Sometimes one or both parties may have black feelings for one another, but the fact of the matter is they are too dangerous to let their hatred run unchecked. (If it helps you to understand, I have heard auspiticism described as a moirail placed between two kismeses.)
[You may notice that the flushed and caliginous sections are much shorter than the other two. Equius simply has no knowledge in that area, being a socially inept failure who literally stumbled into his only quadrant, moirallegiance.
And is pointedly denying that he may be literally stumbling into another one.]HAHA good thing it's text, he can read and reread it --
... Well; I'm not planning on keeping her from her culture at all.
From what you've explained, she and I would be... "matesprits", then.
Hopefully I pronounced that correctly, and I'm sorry if I didn't.
[hrrghh learning new words -]
Thank you for helping me with this - honestly, I'd rather pursue a relationship described by her culture than my own, so if there's anything I need to know, please tell me!
[And he bows a little bit to the screen, since he knows the ~anontroll~ can seem him -]
Equius is all about convenience.
I gave you the basics. There are some other things, but I'll leave those to Feferi's discretion whether she wants you to know them or not.

[She's flirted with a few Zoras and Gorons in her day, after all.]
It's all on the other guy if he wants to see someone as a monster. Doesn't make him right, doesn't make him immune to a spell of bad luck.
no subject
If by "bad luck" you mean "half the tower's populace ganging up on him", yes, I can see that. [Heh.]
I just hope he gets what's coming to him.

Little does he know there's two trolls hunting for Nathan's head]no subject
[Majora's known for her curses, after all. Spell of bad luck? Possibly quite literal.]

[He had to consider what to say for a long while, though -]
[Voice]
There are far better means to judge the worth of a person.
[permavideo since it's just easier for me this way, haha]
That's why I always wait until I've at least talked to someone before I make a judgement. Like you; you seem nice enough.

I haven't gotten a chance to meet everyone, and not everyone I've met is full of kindness.
It's nice, though. Knowing that there's this many people willing to stand up for someone, I mean.
[... This girl's a lot like Sakuma --]
no subject
You should meet more nice people if you haven't yet..
no subject
Don't worry, I'm not scared. I think I'm the opposite of scared - I feel like I have to protect people, since there's some bad apples here.
But what I've done here - it's helping me meet more nice people, for sure.
Like yourself!

[ it's apparently a big compliment to her, since she seems genuinely surprise, her eyes going a little wider compared to her usual blankness. ]

[After all - she wouldn't have said what she did if she wasn't! Maybe?]

I'm used to this sort of thing happening in my own world, actually; it's just surprising here, in this tower.
Not everyone I've met is kind, after all.

If you ask me, something like this should be common sense, right?

Sorry, what now? Who would call another resident of the tower a monster? The nerve...The only monsters here are the administrators, as far as I'm concerned.
[There's a pause.] And...that giant whale...and the things it spawned. But just because someone isn't human doesn't make them a monster! Really now...
video
... And even then - with the administrators' case - one of them isn't a monster, at the very least.
video
Is that so? Mm, from what I've heard they're all like that - I'm glad that's not so.

video;
...thank you. That was really sweet of you.
I, um. I saw the whole quadrant-explanation thing. I swear I wasn't going to hide it from you, it's just complicated and I don't even have an interest in half of it here. So, um, uh...
video;
[That'll take off some stress, right?]
... And, really; if you don't want to explain, you don't have to.
Just know that I won't keep you from your culture, alright?
Re: video;
[and she switches to text, just for a second, to type:]
<3
[- and back to video.]
Yeah.
Though I can explain the otter ones. It just...the moment didn't feel right. I didn't want to muck everyfin up with conchplications. But yeah, it's only fair.
video;
Well. If you want to explain, Feferi, I'm all ears.
no subject
I'm pretty sure you get what being matesprits means. It's like us right now. Where I know how I feel about you and you know how you feel about me and a heart symbol sums it all up.
Then we go over to the diamond. That's your moirail, and they're like - think of them as your best friend. The one you'd always go to when seas get a little choppy, and who'd go to you for the same, but who would kick sense into you if you ever needed it. And you'd do the same for them. It's - I don't know if roemance is even a good word for it, when it comes down to it. More like a really deep best-friend kind of thing.
